Hi, I'm Ray, an endlessly curious college student studying Japanese and Japanese culture for my BA in Interdisaplanry Cultural studies.
I hope to work localizing Japanese entertainment media while continuing to work on my stories.
I update these as I have time, mostly during breaks while I'm in school.

I don't have an upload schedule just yet and given how busy the last year has been I'm hesitant to make one. I hope to post another five or six chapters before I go to study abroad early next year. I'll stay in touch!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been missing over the past year. In short, I've been busy with college (including summer classes to graduate early), applying to grad school and prepping for study abroad. I am uploading Dragon's Amber with Tapas new novel option (which is much nicer than my previous method) and will post a link to it. Plus I will upload the new chapters!!! Thank you all so much for sticking with me!!!
Where did you go? I miss the pleasant surprise of Dragon Amber's new chapters being released. I hope you will continue with this amazing story, it just started making more questions appear as well.

Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile. My laptop kept freezing on me on me when I used photoshop, MS Word, etc., and turning on and off on it's own, along with a bunch of other weird stuff...
Couldn't figure out what was wrong (no viruses, fragmenting, drivers up-to-date and working fine), until I caught my cats (I have three of them) playing on my desk, which including running and jumping across my laptop :/
Tried to save it, but there's not much that can be done about the physical damage a fifteen pound cat jumping onto a ultra book does...
The parts I would have had to replace wasn't worth it, so I had to wait until I could afford a new laptop, one that my cats will not be able to mess up.
But I've been doing lots of work on paper for DrAm and will have Chapter 8 out by the end of the month :)

Hey it's Ray,
Good news is I'm almost done editing chapter 6. There were some continuation issues that I had to go and cross reference with previous and future chapters. But it's finally on track to be published by this weekend.
Right now I'm on, somewhat, of a vacation.
The life tsunami I mentioned a few weeks ago more so turned into a hurricane.
Long story short I had been living with some very nasty roommates. The kind that are addicted to drama like it's a drug.
I finally had to bail out for my own sake after we got into a fight, again, about their destructive behavior, not cleaning up or helping out etc. and found that one of them s**t or put s**t in the tub I just cleaned the next day.
The landlords are handling the situation now, the roommates were harassing them too.
So I'm house sitting for some family that's been out of town and doing some extra chores and cleaning to thank them.
It's been a long time since I haven't been on edge all day and able to think.
It's good but I've found I have to relearn how to relax.
And my animals are safe. My cat is all better and my lizard made a happy mess of himself eating his veggies.
Anyways I'm getting Dragon's Amber back on track for the long term and with the roommates out of the picture it should stay that way.

Hey everyone,
Sorry for being MIA, life decided to throw more than a couple curve balls at me and I haven't had the time or energy to work on Chapter 6 like I planned.
Good news, my lizard is much better and doing well, but I was told he was too small for his age, so he's on some meds for parasites and gets to go back to the vet here soon.
Right after that my cat Spike somehow got this swollen gash on his head and he got to have an emergency vet visit as well. Thankfully no stitches were needed and he'll be fine, it's just more nerve wracking considering he's about 20 years old.
And then I got sick, didn't get better, had to go to the doctor and have to go to the doctor again.
So, I'm pretty drained at the moment.
I'll get back to Dragon's Amber as soon as I'm able. Things have been more unpredictable than usual for me.
I normally have Monday's reserved for writing so if nothing can happen for 24 hours of this crazy month, I should be able to finish up Chapter 6 and post it before the end of the month.
Since the past summers for myself have been notorious for being, inconveniently spontaneous, and I go back to school in the fall, for Dragon's Amber (and my own) sake I'm going to set in stone Monday's and one weekend to publish each month dedicated to working on it.

Thanks to some extra caffeine and a cancelation in my schedule, I nabbed the extra time to finish up Chapter 5 and it is now out!

It's going to take longer to get the chapters out than I had hoped.
I'm fairly exhausted between caring for my lizard (he's not getting better so taking him to the vet) and the other "life tsunami" stuff that hit at once.
I would say my brain is running mainly on caffeine.
So my goal is to upload the extra chapter on or before Friday and the regular one on schedule (I might sneak off to a coffee shop and buckle down like Ben Stiller did in the movie "Duplex").
They will be "Chapter 5: Lessons Learned" and "Chapter 6: Dawnbraught's Golden Claw".
If not Friday they'll both be out on the 30th.

I will still be publishing an extra chapter of Dragon's Amber this month, either tonight or tomorrow night, along with the one regular one on the 30th.
I've been busy taking care of my own dragon named J.B. he's a Bearded Dragon, who's been sick along with what I call a "life tsunami" of things.
If he doesn't get better soon the nearest herp vet is 60 miles away and he might need surgery :(
So there will likely not be any art to go with the chapters this month, but they are already written, only need to finish editing and then format them for Tapas in Photoshop.
I have some sketches I might post later of Quil and Manus (Quil is actually my favorite character to write).
