500 Internal Server Error
JRE Java Runtime is needed for running Java programs. Using NotePad++ for Java Programming on Windows Notepad++ is a free and open-source programming editor. I have not actually installed BlueJ on a Mac myself, so you're on your own here... Now, by default, this will only work if you are on-line, because BlueJ tries to access the on-line documentation provided by the Sun Corporation, which supports Java.
You can safely choose the default answer for each option. You must use version 1.

In many cases it will be as simple as double-clicking the downloaded file from within a file manager, and then providing an administrator password to allow the installation to proceed. Compile the file there, and run it, as we discussed in tout. You will also be able to open non-BlueJ projects, in order to edit them. Javabook should now work. In this procedure, you will run the self-installing executable file to unpack and install the JDK. NOTE: In the labs, we use jikes compiler by IBM instead of the javac solo by Sun since it is faster.
