Hello, my name is Sangjin Jeon. For five years, I served and worked in the army, and I’ve been working as a software engineer in China and Korea for the past ten. I have a wife and two daughters. My ultimate goal is to be a father that my daughters can brag about and confide in. However, just like everyone else, I always possessed an unfulfilled dream. I wanted to become an author or an artist who could tell his own stories to people. I think I've just gotten one step closer to that dream through the world of webcomics.

I’m inspired by Young-soon Yang and Hayao Miyazaki. Yang’s webcomic 1001 was what made me start thinking of doing webcomics myself. And when I dream, my mind conjures up magnificent fantasies, like of immense cities that turn out to be humongous fish tanks. That’s definitely very Miyazaki-esque.

I have a lot of interest in science fiction stories. The main theme of Aidie, artificial intelligence, was influenced by The Age of Spiritual Machines by Ray Kurzweil. That book made me think A LOT. From then on, I started reading extensively about the human brain, psychology, and future science. Aidie takes on the perspective of an artificially intelligent robot, observing the humans first encounter with the birth of artificial intelligence. I wanted to complicate my readers' emotions by putting them in the robots' perspective as humans attempt to use them for malevolent purposes. However, Aidie only marks the first third of the grand science fiction series I have thought of. The three series will all be independent of each other, but they are interwoven in the big picture. They are going to be REALLY interesting, so stay tuned!
