Solvi has been living a peaceful life in her village, but not everyone in this world believes in peace. One night, her home is raided by vikings and they steal a prized possession, destroying everything she's known. She decides that it's now her duty to avenge her home and return what was lost.

Note: This has been adapted into a novel called A Warrior's Promise by Melanie Cross. There have been some big changes in the plot line and the characters, but the story will still have similarities.

Her world goes up in flames and the source of magic and protection is taken from her home. Fueled by adrenaline, Elina makes the choice to follow the Life Seed on to the enemy ship where she ends up trapped. Stuck on a ship of angry pirates, she has to work with the enemy or leave her people to die at the hands of the shadow creatures lurking, waiting for their chance to strike.
