One morning in summer I was in my mom's bedroom watching TV. My mom had left to drop off my other mom to work. While I was watching TV I heard the doorbell ring, I quickly got up and went to take a peak through the hole and saw a guy just standing there and looking around the house. I watched his movements for a bit but then went back to watching TV.
While I was watching TV I heard a noise. It must be the neighbors, I thought. A few minutes later I heard the door from the shed outside open. This time I jumped up and lowered the volume from the TV. I quickly got up and took a quick glance at where the sound was coming from . It was the guy who rung the doorbell and he was trying to open the door of a shed I have. Suddenly my heart started beating fast a little bit to fast. My brain started having so many thoughts and when I tried to move my body felt like jelly. It felt weird when I moved, but then i snapped out of it and crawled to the kitchen to get the phone. I had to crawl because of the door, it's glass and our blinds are broken. As I reached for the phone I went underneath the table and saw that he was peeking inside. After that i went in the knife drawer and got a cleaver. My heart was beating faster. I then called my mom since she would tell me that I couldn't be alone home unless I was 13 but i was currently 11. I called her and ran to the room locking the door and hearing that he was trying to get in through the broken window in a spare room. My mom then responded and asked what was wrong. After I told her what was going on she tried to calm me down and she then called 911 for me. I picked up since they were calling me. I think that since I picked up the phone the guy was inside and got scared and left. After that my mom arrived and checked the house. Then the police arrived and started asking me questions. They investigated the spare room for a while and found some glass scattered around the room and the hallway. Thankfully nothing happened to me, but I was still scared since something worse could have happened.
