At least, that's what the other children called it before the cave swallowed him whole.
Running in desperation, trying to find the light in the end of the tunnel, yet only darkness could be met
He then tripped and fell, feeling a sharp pain on his knee. He was breathing hastily. He could feel something was dripping from his knee. Not long after, he could hear buzzing.
"HELP! SOMEONE! ANYONE!", He shouted but would be met with no reply. Tears stremed down his face from his uncertainty and the numerous amounts of questions that led to this predicament.
Several hours before this incident,
"Hey! guys stop running, I..Can't. Keep up", The black-haired boy ran catching up with his friends.
"C'mon, Luca Keep up, use the wind like all of us", a boy said mockingly.
"You know i can't use magic yet"
"Yeah yeah, we know", another boy said.
They eventually stopped by an entrance of the cave.
"WOAH, COOL!!"
"Guys..for...god..sake wait", Luca said while catching his breathe.
As they wait for him, one of them said "Is this a dungeon? Wanna go inside"
"WHAT! NO!", Luca commented.
"Oh Cmon, Mother won't know about this!"
"SHE WILL!"
"Fine fine, let's make it a game then"
"NO!", Luca commented, yet the other boys would all in unison agree with the leader
"Okay, Lets see who can enter and escape the dungeon first wins!", The leader said and all four of them ventured to the dungeon, but the scared boy, Luca hesitated.
"GUYS...Wait...don't leave me alone", he shouted to the entrance as he entered the deep cave. It was dark. There is no light in the end, only the light from the entrance illuminated it slightly.
"Guys...GUYS! Cmon' lets GO HOME! IT"S DARK! THIS IS NOT FUNNY", He pleaded, yet no one answered. As he went deeper, light slowly escaped the cave and when he turned back, nothing could be seen, only pure darkness. His body started shaking, sweats dropping, his words were only stutters of letters. When he heard a foreign noise, he ran towards somewhere.
Now...
"I...I wanna go home", he sobbed and hugged his legs. However, strange noises would swloly approach him, making him, no, forcing him to run again and again. He closed his eyes, not knowing where he was going, until he hit something odd.
His body fell to the ground and his eyes several glowing eyes in the distance. They were creeping towards him. He crawled back and he could feel something hard yet scaly behind him. He tried grasping anything, yet would meet by nothing.
"NO!", He shouted. Extending his hand, expecting to cast magic yet nothing came out.
Tears streamed down his face. His hand was shaking, he could only close his eyes, desperately wishing, "PLEASE SAVE ME!"
[What do you desire, Human?]
"Huh!?", He opened his eyes, still seeing the upcoming threat.
[I ask again, What do you desire?]
"I...I WANT TO LIVE", He shouted
[I will give you power, in return you will give me your life]
As the sounds got louder, he shouted "YES!".
Meanwhile, outside the cave...
"Children, where are you!", A woman shouted.
"Mother!" several children called.
"It's getting late! You all should be-", She called and started counting them.
"Where is Luca?!", She asked and noticed the entrance of the cave. "Oh no"
"We...We were just teasing him, we...we didn't think-", one of them said and he started crying. The other followed soothed.
"Okay, okay, It's okay, Calm down-", she said. Suddenly a loud booming noise could be heard from inside the cave.
"You children go back to the orphanage okay? I will handle this and find Luca", She said as she let the children go back home.
She casted a spell on her hand, "create flame" and a small fire appeared on her shaking palm. She entered the cave and shouted "Luca! Where are you! Follow my voice!"
[Please, Luca, Don't...don't let my fears be true] She thought as she could hear something was approaching her. She stopped for a moment, she sensed something big was coming. She gulped and stepped back slightly. As the footsteps got louder, the light from her flames would reveal a wounded boy.
"LUCA", She shouted as she hugged him.
"Mother...is that you?", He sluggishly hugged her back and cried his lungs out. His tears slowly dripped down her shoulders.
"It's okay, It's gonna be okay, thank god you're alive" she said as she noticed his body feels oddly warm.
There were several questions she wanted to ask, but she said "Let's treat your wounds first okay?"
Luca nodded. She lifted him up and escaped the cave, but unbeknownst to anyone, this would be the start of this boy's, or rather Luca's story.
