"It'll just be a short nap, I'll wake up before the train gets to my stop," Harumi thought to herself while her eyes slowly closed, certain she would wake up within 30 minutes.

She was a normal girl, a school girl still in her uniform with long black hair in a ponytail. Harumi had been at the library studying until midnight after having been at school all day, so she hurried to the last train of the day, making it barely in time. The train ride to her home was around 30 minutes. Harumi went back and forth on this train daily but this time it was different.

She noticed that the train hadn't stopped yet for what felt like an hour after waking up, there were no other passengers to be found, and the lights kept going in and out. Harumi looked out the window to just see a confusing dark void. She got up from her seat, put her bag around her shoulder, and went up to the conductor's car to see what was going on.

"Hello?" Harumi asked, worried, "Has something happened with the train?

"After hearing no response, she found that the car door was open. She let herself in and saw that there was no conductor.

"Huh? There's no one conducting the train. How is it going on its own?" Harumi thought out loud.

From behind her she heard, "kをНالخير甚နေခင至шは+የーアm#DiRイকটtオzijんデsう."

Harumi heard it clearly but was unable to figure out what the person was saying. She slowly turned her head around, seeing a pixelated, glitchy, dark shadow-like figure in the shape of a human but also nowhere near human-like.

"What... is that..." muttered Harumi.

She quickly ran out of the car, hurrying down to the exit. As Harumi was trying to pry the door open, she turned around to see that the figure hadn't moved at all and was still speaking in a strange language she couldn't understand.

When Harumi finally got the door open, the train stopped. She stepped out into the strangely empty station. A sign directly in front of her read "キሳ拉기ج駅" in a pixelated font. She could only read the last part, reading as eki or station. The rest of it looked like a jumbled mess of random letters from different languages. Harumi brought her almost dead phone's camera up to the sign to try to translate it, but directly after taking the photo the screen went black and the power shut off. She sighed and gave up on translating it. She had the choice of either waiting for the next train to come, if one even does, or going forward to see what was outside the station. Harumi slowly walked through the station, eventually making her way out into what looked like a distorted version of Nishikajima Station, which wasn't her stop. The sky was a swirling mix of purples and pinks and the buildings seemed glitchy as if this was a bugged video game. As soon as she exited the station, a loud ominous bell noise and a drum beat started echoing throughout the area with no clear source.

After standing there in thought for a few minutes, she decided to go back into the station and try to follow the train tracks back home at the previous stop. Harumi wandered back into the station while jotting down and drawing what she was seeing in one of her school notebooks. Eventually when she made it to the tracks, Harumi was quickly interrupted by a yelling voice a far way out in front of her, with the person yelling barely visible in the light fog. As she got closer she could make out the words that were being yelled.

There was a one-legged man repeating the words, "Hey! Don't walk on the tracks! It's dangerous!" as if he were a video game NPC.

"What do you mean? I doubt there'll be any more trains coming this way," responded Harumi.

The man kept repeating, "Hey! Don't walk on the tracks! It's dangerous!" like a broken record.

When she got closer into a range where she could clearly see the old-looking man, he glitched out into pixels and disappeared.

Even though she was confused, Harumi continued walking into a tunnel that was ahead of her. She reached the end of the tunnel and saw a young man looking around her age with chin-length dark brown hair in casual attire.

"Heya, are you also looking for a way out?" asked the man.

"Yeah, I am. Is that the way out?" Harumi responded, gesturing to the old-looking, falling apart car next to him.

Harumi continued, "You also don't even seem old enough to drive."

"There's no way else out though, ain't there?" remarked the man.

Harumi sighed and said, "I guess I'll go with you. There's no other way.

"She walked up to the man and as soon as she got close, the man's body distorted and glitched. He turned into a large but lanky dark, purple-colored monster with large, sharp claws as big as Harumi's whole body. The claws swung at Harumi as she dodged and fell over. She quickly got back onto her feet and started running past it, forward past the tunnel. The monster seemed slow, weighed down by the large heavy claws so Harumi was able to get far ahead of it. The further she went, the foggier it got. Harumi knew she couldn't outrun the monster. She ran and ran until her legs eventually gave out from exhaustion. "Well, goodbye world. I can't say it's been a good life, but at least it was a decent one," Harumi's final thoughts were before it eventually caught up to her. The monster slowly but brutally tore Harumi apart and ate her piece by piece.

By some miracle, Harumi opened her eyes to see that she was back on the train. This time the train was normal. All the people were back, the lights were staying on, and there was an announcement that they were stopping at Enshuu Gansuji Station, which is the stop near her home. Realizing it was probably just a dream, Harumi quickly got up onto her numb legs, swung her bag over her shoulder, and hurried off the train. As soon as she stepped off, she heard the same line as before, ""kをНالخير甚နေခင至шは+የーアm#DiRイকটtオzijんデsう." She turned around and saw that the same dark figure was standing just beyond the doors, this time with one large eye that was staring at her. People were just walking through it as if it weren't there until the door closed and the train went on its way.

Harumi stared at the train door passing by her and it stared back.
