It was a cloudy Monday morning when Mia stood in front of a little café she had never noticed before.

The sign above the door read: “Sunbeam Café” in warm, golden letters.

She looked through the window. The inside looked cozy. There were soft yellow lights, wooden tables, and a shelf full of books. It felt like a place out of a dream.

Mia had just moved to this new town. She had no friends here yet, and her job at the library didn’t start for another week. Her heart felt heavy from the move, and she hoped a warm drink might help.

She pushed open the door.

A small bell rang as she entered.

The scent of fresh coffee, cinnamon, and something sweet filled the air. It was warm inside, and music played softly in the background.

Behind the counter stood a young man. He had messy brown hair, soft eyes, and a kind smile.

“Good morning!” he said. “Welcome to Sunbeam Café.”

“Hi,” Mia said, a little shyly. “This place looks really nice.”

“Thanks! First time here?”

“Yes,” she said. “I just moved to the area.”

“Well then, welcome to the neighborhood,” he said warmly. “I’m Noah.”

“I’m Mia.”

“What can I get you, Mia? First drink is on the house.”

She smiled. “Really? That’s kind of you. I’ll take a cappuccino, please.”

“Coming right up,” Noah said, turning to the machine.

As he worked, Mia looked around. One of the walls was painted like a sunrise. A cat was sleeping on a cushion by the window. There were small flowers in glass jars on every table.

The place felt peaceful.

Noah placed the cup in front of her with a smile. “One cappuccino, made with extra sunshine.”

Mia took a sip. It was the best coffee she had ever tasted—warm, smooth, and full of comfort.

“This is amazing,” she said.

Noah laughed. “I’m glad. Coffee should feel like a hug in a cup.”
