Josette sat there as her sister's body began to drift away, her fragile like body was nailed to a cross her pale skin exposed to the whole world. She sat there as she looked up at her sisters face. She was beautiful, her hair as soft as silk and her skin as soft as cotton but all that went away as her body shut down, the only thing left of her was her breathing to struggle to live. Her last words were a struggle
"Ple-please, ru-un," Her last breath escaped her lips her eyes becoming a cloudy pink, the crimson red no longer there to stare someone down with danger. Her lips a pale red and her hair no longer gleamed in the sun. All there was, was a dead creature of the night.
Rage and pain filled Josette's chest like a cancer cell threatening to take over her body, " A-angelique, please don't leave!" She sobbed through her warm tears that soaked her pale cheeks. " That's her!" A loud voice said from behind her. It was her turn to pay the consequences of her sins, the angry villagers surrounded her grabbing her arms and dragging her away from her pitiful dead sister.
Tears kept streaming down her cheeks as she screamed. " Save your screams for when you burn in hell monster," One man whispered into her ear.
From the looks of it, they had no intention of letting the poor creature live. Her nature was too risky for the villagers or anyone who had encountered Josette and Angelique. But something that never seemed to dawn on the people was that Josette and her sister were a curse to never be contained.
No matter how many times they were slaughtered or murdered they would always be reborn by someone with the blood of the cursed man that was once their great-grandfather.
They dragged Josette to a wooden pillar dry straw piled at the bottom, she knew immediately that her death would be much worse than her sisters, she didn't want to think about it, but all her thoughts kept going back to the familiar pain she felt when she died the last time but this time her sister wasn't here to hold her hand as they died together. This time she would be all alone as her skin would melt away from her bones.
Her screams pierced the angry villager's ears as they tied her up to the wooden pillar her voice cracking as she continued to scream at the top of her lungs, all villagers cheered as a man threw a torch to the dried hay catching Josettes feet on fire, her screams decorated the fire as the villagers watched in murderous glares.
But what caught her eye was a little child clutching to her mothers skirt her cheeks covered in tears and dust, she was the only one that night that was haunted by the sight of a vampire burning to death...
