Andy De Rossi, a sixteen years old non-binary queer person, comes back to Truham grammar where their old friend group is. Andy grew up with their mother, father and their twin brother Matthew; for all of their life they never felt like a real girl or neither a boy, and in fact after years they came out as non-binary. Andy is also Pansexual but they don’t care about this aspect because the most important fact about them is their gender. They love singing, literature, psychology (in fact they always help everyone) and they also like rugby ( but they don’t want others to know that! ).

Andy went to primary school with Harry Greene and  they were literally best friends, and then in middle school they started dating each other. In this period Harry created a really interesting group that you might actually already know: Nick Nelson, Sai, Christian, Otis, Imogen, Tara Jones and other rugby lads. This group was really popular, they were all real friends with each other, but as any other group, they had problems as soon as they became older. 

As I said before, Andy likes rugby, not to actually play but to help with the game strategies. One day, the game wasn’t going well, but Andy had an idea and they told Harry how to play. With this plan, the team won, and after the game Andy went into the playground to kiss Harry, after this moment of affection, some students made some comments about Andy’s appearance, calling them a “butch” and “lesbian”.

This was how the whole group fell out. After this, Harry’s parents made him break up with Andy, and he did it. Andy was really angry and sad about it but they understood that the problem wasn’t him, but his parents. At this point Andy changes school and also comes out as pan and most important, as non-binary. 

The other members of the group went in their own ways: Imogen found new friends but also stayed friends with Harry and Nick. Tara met Darcy and they became best friends, and after that, they started dating. Nick was the only one who talked to Andy after what happened, he didn't care about the rumors and everything. But then he met Charlie and they started dating, he even came out as bisexual.

Andy’s twin brother, Matthew, went to the hospital and he was diagnosed with bulimia, he stayed at this hospital for 4 months. He is one of the first people to know about Andy's gender and sexuality, and that helped them a lot. A lot of people didn’t take that easily, one of them was Andy’s girlfriend, Madison, in fact when they told her that, Madison was really confused and she immediately broke up with them. 

Matthew wasn’t alone in the hospital, in fact, after two months, someone came to the same hospital: Charlie Spring. They became friends immediately, and they were also roommates. They talked about lots of things, like Charlie’s coming out story, Nick, his disease and Matthew also talked about Andy. But eventually, one day, Charlie really meets Andy, just in a casual way…
