Have you ever felt like you were on the brink of death? It’s as if Jace's soul detached from his body, drifting weightlessly through a strange tunnel. He ran desperately, chasing the light at the end of that tunnel!
Suddenly, a blinding flash enveloped him. His last memory was opening his eyes to find himself in a royal bedroom, a servant staring wide-eyed at him.
Where am I? Am I dead? But wait, just last night, Jace was in that shabby room at the ST Lab, working on an experiment. Who could have killed me?
Hold on, he needed to think.
Professor T. Ramayah had been pressing him to proceed with a black hole experiment, so Jace spent the entire day in the lab. Last night, he accidentally knocked over a coffee cup, spilling its contents across the table. The coffee seeped into the machine’s circuitry, causing a short circuit. Sparks flew, and the machine hissed ominously. In an instant, he was engulfed by a bright light, blinding him. Before he could react, he was sucked into a vortex, and the next thing he knew, he was here!
That servant had just called out to him. His hearing gradually returned after a loud ringing in his ears. Jace realized he had just experienced something even more terrifying than death itself—time travel.
The woman called out anxiously, "My prince, you're finally awake! I thought you had died."
So, it seemed Jace had just lived through a scientific miracle! He looked around, trying to make sense of his surroundings. What era is this? Their clothes... they looked ancient, like something from 600 years ago. Yes, that’s it! Jace had seen illustrations of similar attire in his history books.
But how did he end up here, in this strange and unfamiliar place? And what did it mean to be the "fourth prince"?
