While walking through the tall gates of the school, Rei noticed a guy from one of his classes sitting against a large tree and reading a book.

He had long, dark hair that covered parts of his face, ocean blue eyes that were scrolling through the pages on the novel he was reading. He was simply just beautiful in Rei's eyes.

Rei looked at him as he walked past, noticing his eyes moving to look at him. His heart started racing and he looked away quickly, walking a bit faster while in the corner of his eye, he notice the other standing up. Rei's heart started beating faster, his palms sweating so much they were starting to drip. He walked up behind Rei and said,

"Hey, you alright?" A soft, gentle voice creeps into his hear. Rei stopped, looking back at him. his heart was racing, and he was incredibly sweaty.

He put his hand on Rei's shoulder, now able to feel his heart pounding in his chest. "Hey it's okay. Relax. Take a deep breath" he told him. Rei looked at his hand which was now on his shoulder. Not knowing what he should do or if he should say anything. His hands were shaking and soaked in sweat, trembling from the other's touch.

He pulled Rei over to the tree he was sitting under, sitting him down in the shade. Rei felt a bit calmer after he did that. People weren't able to see him there. The boy looked at Rei with his beautiful, sparkling blue eyes and asked,

"You okay?" The sound of his voice was comforting to the smaller boy. Rei slowly nodded his head, looking into the other's eyes. They looked at him softly then grabbed one of his hands. Rei looked at it, still covered in sweat and shaking ever so slightly.

"We should go get you cleaned up before classes start." He said, still holding Rei's hand. His hands were soft and gentle. Rei wanted to keep holding it but the other let go of it looking down at him. Rei looked up at him then pulled himself up using the trunk of the tree. The other helped Rei up, grabbing hold of his arms. Rei accidentally fell onto the male as he pulled him up. He wrapped his arms around the other, not realizing what he was doing. Rei held onto him then jolted up, pushing him away as he realized what had happened and what he was currently doing.

"I-i'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Rei panicked. The other looked at him then grabbed him, pulling him back into the hug. Rei was about to settle into the male's touch but then he saw people walking towards them and panic even more, pushing the male off him and onto the ground. Rei quickly ran away into the school building. The other boy looked at him then saw the people walking past him, looking towards where Rei had ran off, like as if he had done something wrong. He looked away from them, getting up slowly with a small sigh.

When the siren rang for classes to start, Rei wondered off to his language class with his head down, holding the ends of his shirt tightly. He knew that the male from that morning was in that class with him, which made him nervous. Rei couldn't stop thinking that the other might hate him for pushing him and running away like that. The thought of that made him unable to concentrate and he ended up far from where he needed to be.

Once Rei had finally made it to class, He saw that the others had already gone in. He swallowed back some spit and walked in, immediately noticing all the staring faces.

"Rei, you're late." The teacher told him in his grumpy voice. "Right, my apologies." He said with a slight mumble as he looked around for a seat, noticing the only one left was right next to the other. He nervously walked over to it sitting down before he answered the teacher again.

"I-i'm sorry sir, I'm not feeling to good this morning..." He said. It was clear in my voice that i was trembling. The other looked at him, not noticing that it was the same person from before at first as he only took a quick look before continuing to do his work.

"Would you like to go see the nurse?" The teacher asked in a slightly nicer tone. Rei looked up at the teacher then shook his head. He probably should've though. He wasn't able to concentrate at all. And it wouldn't help that he had to sit next to the very person that was causing him to feel that way.

"I-i'm okay..." He managed to say, though it was clear in his voice he wasn't okay at all. The male looked at him again, properly this time, remembering who he was. He perked up, raising his hand up to the teacher.

"Ah, sir? Should I take him to the nurse? Just in case he passes out on the way or something?" He asked, lowering his hand before taking a quick glance at Rei. The teacher looked at them before letting out a small sigh.

"Yes, thank you Ryan" he said calmly, then went back to teaching the rest of the class. Rei and the male, named Ryan, walked out of the classroom, making their way to the nurse's office. Rei walked quietly, holding the ends of his shirt again. Ryan walked beside him, glancing down at him every so often.

"You okay, Rei?" Hearing him say his name made Rei's heart start pounding in his head. He didn't look at Ryan, keeping his head down so the male wouldn't be able to see the blush that Rei could feel burning up on his cheeks.

"Y-yeah... I-i'm fine..." he stuttered, gripping the ends of his shirt tightly. Rei glanced up at him quickly before walking a bit faster towards the nurses' office. Ryan looked at him, frowning as the male walked ahead from him. He just let out a small sigh and followed behind him. They were pretty much dead silent after that.

When they finally got to the nurse's office, Rei suggested that Ryan should go back to class. But the other refused, taking him in to see the nurse. They both took a seat after being told to wait for the nurse. Rei felt so awkward since they didn't talk to each other for awhile until Ryan suddenly asked "This morning... When I hugged you... Why'd you push me away and run off?"

Rei's heart skipped a beat, glancing over at him as Ryan looked directly at him. "I-i... I saw people coming and I didn't want them to see us hugging... B-because they'd probably get the wrong idea and pick on us! I was just scared... And I had no idea what to do..." Rei bit down his lip and looked down, trembling.

Ryan looked at him with soft eyes as he asked. "What's so wrong with being with another guy?"

Rei's heart started pounding in his chest so much that it was all he could hear, a repeating sound of his own unsteady heart. His palms became very sweaty as he thought about what Ryan said. Was it possible that the other was into other guys?

Ryan looked at Rei, noticing how much he was sweating. Smiling, he asked. "Do you by any chance have a crush on me?"

Rei flinched, holding himself tightly. He wasn't too sure how to react to that. "I-I don't know... It would probably go away after awhile if I did!"

He was panicking a lot. Shaking and sweating, holding himself tightly. He almost felt like he could no longer breathe. His chest was hurting from his heart going crazy. Ryan could see that Rei was panicking, and so he got up, hugging him tightly in his arms. His hug was comforting and Rei quickly sunk right into his chest, feeling like he could just fall asleep right there.

Ryan continued to hug Rei until the nurse called for them to go in. Rei was quite upset that they couldn't stay like that for longer. And he didn't want to see the nurse anyway. She would only make Rei feel nervous.

They walked in and both took a seat on small chairs with a flat pillow. The nurse looked at them with an annoyed expression on her face. "So, what seems to be the problem?"

Rei looked at Ryan quietly, biting his lips as he didn't want to talk. The male then looked at Rei, seeing in his eyes that he didn't want to speak. "We're not too sure, but he isn't feeling too good" Is all Ryan could come up with.

Rei sat quietly, fidgeting with his fingers. He took steady breathes, hoping that he wouldn't need to explain anything.

"Could you please explain to me how you feel?" The nurse then asked, sitting back as she looked at Rei, waiting for a response.

"Ah, well... I'm just finding it hard to concentrate, that's all..." He explained, gulping and biting his lips. It was still pretty clear by how he spoke that he wasn't okay. He sounded sick and upset.

"Anything on your mind? Something happen at home, or?"

He continued looking down, fidgeting with his fingers as sweat slowly dripped down, off his hands and onto the ground. His heart was still pounding and he was a slight pink in color. "Uhh... No, nothing really" He lied as he couldn't say it was Ryan's fault. He didn't even know if it actually was his fault or not.

"Okay, would you like me to call home or you think you'll be alright for the rest of the day?"

Ryan looked at him, probably hoping that he was going to stay at school. Though, he was probably actually hoping that Rei was going to go home.

He glanced over at Ryan then turned to the nurse. "Could you call my father, please?" He asked, trying to ignore Ryan in the corner of his eye. He noticed him look down, as if he were upset that Rei was leaving. He kind of felt bad, but also didn't want to stay at school. There would be no point anyway, he wouldn't be able to concentrate at all, not with Ryan around.

"Alright, I'll be back in a second then" The nurse then got up, leaving the room.

He looked at Ryan, who then looked up at Rei. "I hope you get better soon" he said with a broken smile. He couldn't tell whether or not he was upset, mad or actually happy from how he sounded or by the way he looked at him. But he could tell he was a little upset from the way he hugged him tightly around his body, holding him as close as he could. Rei couldn't help but to hug him back, trembling a little as he did.

The nurse came back after awhile, but neither Rei or Ryan bothered sitting up from the hug. "Your father will pick you up after he finishes work. You can wait in the sick room until he gets you." The nurse explained, taking a seat at her desk. Rei supply just nodded and continued to cuddle with Ryan without a word.

"Uhm... Would it be okay if I were to stay here with him until his father comes?" Ryan asked, holding Rei close to his body, which was nice and warm compared to Rei's freezing cold body, caused by the sweat.

"No, you should go back to class now. I'm sure he'll be fine by himself" The nurse crossed her arms, looking at the two. "you can put him on the bed just in there for now, if you'd like"

Ryan nodded and picked Rei up gently, keeping him close to his body. He carried him into the room, carefully placing him down on the bed before saying quietly "get better soon." And before Rei knew it, he was gone. If he had to be honest, he was kind of upset that he had to go.

Rei sat in that bed for about thirty minutes until he finally managed to go to sleep. It wasn't until around an hour before his father came to get him, picking him up and carrying him out to the car, leaving him to sleep.

Rei woke up in the middle of the night, frightened when he saw how dark it was. He was surprised because he had fallen asleep in a bright room and he was never good at dealing with a sudden environment change.

He decided to go back to sleep but woke up later to the sound of his alarm, telling him to get ready for school. Half asleep, he wondered around his room until he had somehow managed to get himself ready.

"Oh, are you not going to stay home?" His father asked when he walked pass. Rei rubbed his eyes and looked over at his father with a slight nod.

"Yeah... I just felt a little nauseous yesterday, that's all" He said, a little quietly without meaning to. He gently brushed passed him and headed to the kitchen, grabbing a simple box of fruit from the fridge. Rei's father just ignored him, not really caring whether he went to school or not. His father headed straight to bed and most likely fell back to sleep.

Rei sighed softly as he grabbed his bags, throwing it over his shoulder and taking the fruit with him, eating it along the way to school.

"Rei, wait up!" A familiar voice called out to him. He jolted and looked back, noticing that it was Ryan. He couldn't help but to smile when he saw him, watching as he ran up and hugged him.

"Hey, how are you feeling today?" He asked with a gentle and soft voice, looking down at Rei with a lovely smile.

"I'm better. I think." He replied, looking down at his feet with a light blush on his face after Ryan pulled back from the hug. Just looking at him was enough to make Rei feel all flustered and for some reason, happy?
