If you’re new here—welcome! I’m Xarigun, the author and artist of this story. I hope it pulls you in the same way it once pulled me.
Enjoy the read and… watch out for fateful encounters. 💘
To my dear longtime readers (yes, that means you, my loyal troublemakers 💕):
What’s going on? Where did the chapters go?
I took them down to reupload everything from the beginning. And I did it for one reason—every single one of you needs to read the five new episodes that will now kick off the story. They fill a huge gap: Lucas and Aiden’s first meeting.
If you’ve been following my webtoon for a while, you probably know it’s a continuation of my single-issue comic Amatus.
For the longest time, it bothered me that Amatus was split into two parts—a comic and a webtoon. Now I’m finally fixing that. After this update, Amatus will be one complete story.
Here’s the plan:
— First, I’ll upload Chapters 1–5, retelling the events of the original comic. (Don’t worry, it’s not a frame-by-frame redraw. I broke the story apart and rebuilt it to tell it in a new way, and I can’t wait to hear what you think.)
— Then, I’ll bring back the chapters you’ve already read.
— And after that, we’ll jump right back into bed (crossed out) where we left off.
This was a tough but well-thought-out decision. Still, I can’t help feeling nervous—so a little trust and support from you would mean the world to me.
That’s about it! If anything’s unclear, just ask.
Oh, and one last thing—please remember to hide spoilers in the comments. Thanks a bunch!
Wow! That is a lot of work! But, I do understand your wanting to make your story more cohesive! I will enjoy the changes and embrace the older illustrations and storyline! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼🥰
Late-80s Los Angeles.
Neon streets. Sleepless nights.
A place for the lost, the tired, the ones who would die just to feel someone’s warmth again.
One of them is a beautiful, educated killer
who doesn’t believe in love or change.
The other carries an angelic face —
and a shadow that seems to breathe on its own.
He whispers he’s ready to die.
He whispers he’s glad they met.
And from that moment forward, nothing follows the script.
