Leonora was a new doctor right out of residency. She was overwhelmed with her student loans that she decided to participate in Doctors without Borders to have them waved. Before she knew it she was on her own and no longer safe. She has to get across the border to seek sanctuary, but her drive to help people placed her in a situation where she gets held up as a ransom, a ransom her country refuses to pay.
