Santa Monica, 1987. Discovering an enigmatic alien doll stuffed with drugs and cash at the beach, a young boy's life is suddenly and irrevocably changed forever.
Afraid of Heights is a comic-book adaptation of the WAVVES indie rock album of the same name, released in 2013. Each of the album’s thirteen tracks is represented by a separate chapter, all of which tell an ongoing story. There is no dialogue, only imagery, as the comic is intended to be read with the album playing in the background.
