Augustus Miles Volcanus, more commonly called August, is a broken man who has tried to fix himself and failed for most of his life. They're a very traumatic experience that he went through as a child he faced the harsh reality of life and just how dangerous it could be. Over years he has devoted himself to trying to overcome his insecurities and fear making small progress but ultimately never really getting too far from where he's always been.

Then one day a situation is placed in front of him, forcing him to fight or die. At first, he almost was consumed by his fear but ultimately his will to fight for his life and the lives of those that he cared about prevailed. In so doing he not only saved himself but his loved ones as well.

This caught the attention of a god who is known for afflicting people with a curse that is also seen as a blessing. This god granted him power that most would kill for but in exchange, he would have to come face to face with his fear a lot stronger than he already had. Not only would he have to face his fear but he would also have to survive in a very hostile world where only the strong and cunning can survive. A planet where the weak and foolish die young.

Taking his new powers and opportunity, Augustus decided to carve a new life for himself with his own two hands. But can he truly succeed? Only time will tell if he will be able to overcome his shortcomings and grow not only as a person but as a champion of a god known for his mischief.
