I walk into senior year of high school at North High in Minnesota. It’s a big school, I’ve lived here all my life. I walk to class praying that at least one of my friends will be there. I have Calculus first hour, I walk in and immediately spot my best friend, Mira sitting in her seat. I look at the board, and thank God, I can sit next to her! I sit down and lean my backpack against the table. We talk for the next ten minutes about summer break. Then the bell rings, and students come rushing in, finding their seats. Then my new teacher, Miss Bell does the whole spiel. I try to listen but it's so boring, I eventually just tune her out. My next class is Gym, I slowly inch my way towards the locker room and take off my purse and hoodie. It’s annoying as hell. We run two laps, and my teacher goes over what we’re gonna do this year. Two class periods later and it's lunch time. I go to the cafeteria, and since I bring lunch from home, I take out my Chobani Flip and start eating. Mira, Evan and Rachel sit next to me. We talk and eat. “Have you seen Liv?” I ask. “No, I haven’t seen Liv.” Ellie answers. All too soon, lunch is over and I go to my next class, history. The teacher does the same thing all the others have, giving us the syllabus and talking about expectations. I have Biology next so I head to the room, get the syllabus, boring as usual, although she does say we might dissect a frog. I mean, poor thing but it could be interesting. After that, it was time for my final class of the day, English. It's the same stuff. I’m relieved to go home, and when the final bell rings and we all rush out the doors, I get picked up by my moms, at the park a couple blocks down.
“Hiiii, sweetie! How was your first day of senior year?!”
My Mom asks. I just shrug, I hop in the car and say
“It was fine, but my friends are in most of my classes so that's nice.” She nods and we continue to listen to Sabrina Carpenter. We arrive at home in ten minutes. I get inside, take a shower, do my homework which is just syllabi. I have dinner with my moms. After, I watch Youtube Shorts on my phone, read some more of Imogen, obviously and go to sleep.
Mira and Olivia are twins sisters but the day before senior year starts Olivia goes missing. Mira and Olivia's best friend Ari try to find her, or maybe a dead body. Who knows? Read Always the girlfriend to find out!
