I guess it made sense, I wasn't that pretty. But it still.. hurt. It was the Fifth of May, and I had a huge crush on this guy, Andrew. He was popular and handsome, and I had no chance. My best friend Lillian had finally convinced me to ask him out. So, I did. 

I sighed, i shouldn't have agreed to this! What was I thinking, he would never say yes to a girl like me. "Hey Andrew!" He looked over at me, his blue eyes pricing my skin.

"Hey Bree! Can I help you?" He smiled, he was so fricking hot! I mumbled and he tilted his head, "Bree? I cant hear you."

I looked him in the eye, "Will you go out on a date with me?" I looked down, i didn't want to look at him anymore.

"Oh. Bree, im sorry. But im going out with Hannah." He sighed, "I dont want to hurt your feelings, im sorry." He tilted his head to meet my eyes. "You ok?"

I nodded, "Yeah im fine. I mean, I should have expected it. Look at you, perfect!" He frowned, "An then theres me, im.. im not perfect." A tear slid down my cheek. "Its ok though! Sorry for wasting your time. See you around!" I turned around swiftly and walked away as fast as I could. 

"Bree! Wait.." I heard Andrew but I didn't wait, or stop. I didn't want to embarrass myself any further. 

I ran inside and up the stairs as quickly as I could. "That was so stupid of me!" I said through tears as i flung myself onto my bed. I hit my pillow angrily. I grabbed my phone, "Winnie, Mia... Lillian!" My finger landed on her contact. I hit the call button and the phone rang. She immediately picked up.

"So how did it go?" She said her voice scratchy over the phone. "Bree?" I could hear the frown on her face.

"Oh you know.. great." I cried. "Her rejected me! And hes going out with Hannah!" I wiped my chin, my tears rested there.

"Oh Bree. Im so so sorry, Ill come over right now!" Lillian said, I could hear her moving around.

"Ok." I mumbled. Wiping more tears from my chin, "See you soon."

"Ok, bye!" She said. I pulled the phone away from my ear and hung up. 

Slowly I got up from my bed and walked over to my closet, I pulled out a sweatshirt and some shorts. I changed and walked over to my window, waiting for Lillian to arrive. I looked over to my phone on my bed. It buzzed. I tilted my head and grabbed it. 

There was a message form.. Andrew!? I opened up my phone and pulled up messages. "Why would he be texting me.." I trailed off as I read the message. It read, "Hey Bree. Mia gave my your number. I just wanted to apologize. I would have said yes if I wasn't already involved. Also, what you said was wrong. You are perfect." My eyes widened. 

"What. The. Hell."

A car pulled up in the drive way, it was Lillian. She got out and closed her car door. She popped the trunk and grabbed a bag out of it. Shes the best.

She looked up to my window and waved. I waved back. 

A minute later she was hugging me. "Ok tell me what happened." She said letting me go. I walked over to my bed and flopped down.

"I told him I liked him, he told me he was going out with Hannah. I said it made sense, then I ran." Lillian flopped down next to me. 

"Damn, that sucks." She sighed.

"Oh! Thats not all." I opened up my phone and pulled up the message Andrew had sent me. "Look." I gave her my phone and watched her as she read it.

Her eyes widened. "Wow." She handed me back my phone. "Wow! Oh my god!" She looked at me, "Since tomorrow is Monday,  and we have school. We should make you look super hot! Show him your better that Hannah!"

I giggled, she looked at me with a serious look on her face. I busted out laughing, "Me? Hot? Nu uh! You cant make me hot! Also, me better than Hanna Smith?? Never gunna happen!" She sighed as I continued laughing.

"You could be hot, just you wait." She smiled. I looked at her, when I full realized she was serious, it scared me.
