This novel is based on the book of Acts of the Apostles. It was written to show the action of the Holy Spirit in the early Christian community. The book chronicles Jesus' ascension, the first moments of Peter's early church, his ministry and Paul's ministry. Throughout the text, the rejection of the majority of Jews to the Gospel is demonstrated.
Paul of Tarsus, also known by his Jewish name Saul, was an apostle who taught the gospel of Christ to the first-century world. He is one of the most important people in early Christianity. Through his missionary journeys, the Apostle Paul founded several churches in Asia and Europe. His life and work recorded in the book of Acts, from chapter nine through chapter twenty-eight.
