USA, Virginia - 1964

Young Josey Birde is thrust into a very different world than the sheltered, middle class life she is used to when an epidemic starts to spread across the Northern United States.

In hot pursuit of her missing little sister, she is scrambled together with a niche group of mismatched men whom she would never have expected to ever meet before.

But surprises are becoming the norm for Josey, as the journey to find her last remaining family member turns into a battle of survival.
