The war began before Dusty was old enough to understand it.
For generations, cheetahs and lions have fought across the southern African savannah in the legendary War of the Black-Spots and the Brown-Furs.
Dusty is only a young tortoise when the fighting begins. He grows up watching the two great cat clans battle, generation after generation, as the war becomes part of life itself.
But Dusty grows old.
And one day, after years of bloodshed, something happens that no one expects.
The war ends.
