The Man from Space. It was an old world comic that I once enjoyed. It followed this roguish hero from space, a long lost Cosmonaut comes back to save us. In one issue he’d save the Earth from a Zetan force and get the girl, and in the next, the girl would die and then he’d have a reason to go and fight the new enemy. Rinse and repeat. It did get dark towards the end, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless, and consistent in quality. Which was important. Not so much anymore.

I wonder what happened to the copies of it. It was never a big hit, being more of a niche thing, so I wonder, does anyone still have one? Did anyone think to keep one? Does anyone still read one? Does anyone remember it? Is this what I’m reduced and elevated to? Wondering about a comic book? I could tell in an instant if any copies exist and are being read, but I don’t want to. I relish in the ignorance. It is my saving grace.
