"Beep! Beep! Beep!"

As my alarm clocks sounds, I burst up out of my bed and sat up.

Today is April 6th, My Birthday.

I officially turn 16 today.

Today is Saturday, which means no school. It is currently 9 AM, and my date with Okani (My girlfriend) is at 10 AM.

As I get dressed and spray some cologne, I start to think to myself,

I wonder if my Mom made me a special breakfast?

As I walked down the stairs, I smell a superb smell coming from my kitchen.

As I walk into the LDK, my mother screams at me,

'HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAJI-SAN!!!"

As she kisses my forehead, I ask her,

"What did you make me for Breakfast?"

She says "Your favorite... Miso Soup, Grilled Fish, and Natto!" (pretty basic huh)

"That sounds so good!" I say, overwhelming with excitement.

After I am done eating my breakfast, I check my phone to see if I got any Birthday messages.

I did of course, from the obvious people, my aunt's, uncles, cousins, and very close friends. 

But no text from my girlfriend.

Huh, that is incredibly weird. I think to myself.

As soon as I am about to turn off my phone, I hear a "ding!"

I turn on my phone, and I see a text message from Okani, my girlfriend.

The text reads, I am so sorry Kaji-San, but a family emergency just happened, and unfortunately I can't make the date. I am so sorry.

My heart drops.

 I think to myself "Damn, of course the emergency is on my birthday."

I open my messaging app and send her a text back saying,

It is fine, Okani-San. I understand that family emergencies are more important. I hope whatever is wrong, get's better.

I hear another "ding!" and Okani responds saying,

I am so so sorry! I will make it up to you, I promise.

I reply with It is Okay.

As time passes, I decide to take a walk around my neighborhood.

I am walking, looking up at the sky, thinking of what I am going to have for lunch.

What a beautiful day. I think to myself.

I look down from the beautiful sky, and I spot my Girlfriend and my best friend, Shindo, walking together.

I think "I thought Okani had a family emergency?"

I get out of there sight, hiding behind a wall, sneaking peeks at them, and I see them holding hands while walking.

My heart DROPS.

My thoughts racing, I think to myself "Why is Shindo with Okani, and why are they holding hands?

I couldn't anymore.

I step out in front of them,

I confront my Girlfriend first, and say "How could you do this to me? You lied to me about a Family Emergency so you could hang out with my best friend?"

Shindo tries to interrupt saying "Kaji, I..I"

"SHUTUP!" I say, very angry.

"How could both of you guys do this? Shindo, I have known you since 4th Grade, Okani you are my GIRLFRIEND! TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY! YOU DIDN'T EVEN TEXT ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"  I say 

As I walk and storm away, Okani chases after me saying "I AM SORRY!" but I Ignore her. 

"Leave me alone, We are done." I say, crying and looking back at her,

As I walk off into the now horrible, ugly ass day.
