The circus welcomes a new member, Cailean Duff, an 11-year-old boy who was abandoned at the door of the Black Ink Show after being bitten by a stranger.
As he tries to adapt to a whole new life and a supernatural reality far from anything she has ever known, Cailean will learn the harsh reality of a circus performer's life, make friends, and most of all, he will learn to open up, accept differences and which families can come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes from the most unlikely places.
