A thousand year have passed since the world succumbed to the dark emotions of humanity.

Fear. Anger. Despair. Corrupting forces that spawned the dark beasts known as Shade, led by their lord, Daemon. Engel, the shepherd of humanity, vanished from the world in order to seal him away. With this she left behind humanity's last defense; the Blood Stones. Through these crimson gems, people could summon small portions of her magic, their only weapon against the creatures born from their own negative emotions. Daemon will return one day, but unbeknownst to the remains of the world, that day is soon to come.

With the unity of the old world long forgotten, the city-states of New Earth stand separated. However, key capitals remain connected through a shared desire to strengthen humanity at any cost. Siblings Damien and Daniel are thrown into the midst of a new age as their perception of the world quickly crumbles. Through their premature journey as Slayers, they come to discover humanity’s shadows hidden in plain sight. Can they hold on to what little light remains, or will they succumb to the sins of their ancestors?
