“I-I'm...not doing it! I-I refuse...I'm not doing bloody Mary.” Tristan shook, his beady eyes filled with anxiety.
Kace observed his friend, lately watching Tristan had become a new habit of his. He found that the boy had a cute disposition, the way he carried himself had a particular way of catching Kace’s attention. It was no secret that Tristan was a wimp, a coward, a baby, and whatever else fit the tag. But, Kace found all of that cute, the way Tristan clung to him all the time drove him completely crazy.
“H-Hey Kace...why are you staring at me..?” Tristan asked weakly.
Kace jumped, and then shouted “N-No reason...I-I wasn’t staring! Dammit!” His face turning a crimson red as he stuttered, which only caused the rest of the kids in their class to turn their attention to him. He kicked the wall angrily and snapped back “This shit is stupid!”
“S-Sorry Sorry!” Tristan apologized frantically, his eyes big and wide.
Kace sighed “I-I didn't mean….you don’t need to apologize, you didn’t do anything wrong...I’m just not thinking straight right now.”
“What’s wrong?” Tristan asked concerned, but Kace could only concentrate on the boys' fragile lips when he spoke. The problem was that he knew that if he dared to make a move, Tristan wouldn’t be willing to touch him with a 10-meter stick. Kace figured that any advances would probably drive Tristan’s nervous mind insane and the boy would completely combust into flames.(Or something like that)
Kace understood that his one-sided crush was a lost cause if he was willing to call his feelings for Tristan a “crush.” He didn’t think that he was into boys and wasn’t ready to come out as gay or anything, but he couldn’t deny that being around Tristan brought up his heart rate.
“Hey..are you okay, Kace?” Tristan asked, his big amber eyes breaking Kace’s train of thought.
Kace answered “U-Uh yea...I’m fine..there isn’t anything wrong”
“Y-You sure..? You’ve been acting a little weird recently..”
Kace forced a smile and then playfully poked Tristan’s tanned forehead, grinning as he beamed “Perfectly, Flawlessly normal! Nothing is wrong with me bud!”
Tristan scrunched his face cutely at the touch, slowly opening his eyes, to look up at Kace who was a head taller than him, allowing a smile to form on his pale lips.
“If you say so.”
Kace looked down at Tristan, a gentle smile forming on his lips, Tristan was cute. He was a lot more adorable then all the girls that Kace knew, he’d even describe the boy as beautiful, but not in a girly sort of way. Even though his small frame made him look delicate, Kace didn't see he as less manly. He was just a lot prettier than the average boy.
Another kid in their class that Kace didn't bother to know the name of smirked “Why don't you do Bloody Mary then, Kace? Your underling won't do it, so let's see if you've got the balls!”
Kace glared at the boy angrily, grinding his teeth together as he scowled. He took a quick and furious step towards the boy and grabbed his collar forcefully.
“Tristan is not my underling!” he snarled.
He could feel Tristan clenching his other hand nervously, trying to pull him away from the boy.
Tristan begged “C-Come on Kace! Calm down...He’s just joking around….”
The boy wasn’t the least bit concerned over the fact that he was half strangled, he just gritted “So, you’re afraid then? To do bloody mary?!”
Kace furrowed his eyebrows as he looked closer at the boy, he had dirty blonde hair, an abundance of freckles and a devious smirk.
“Shut up, Cheshire Freckled Little Shit Face! I’m not fucking afraid of something stupid like bloody mary!”
Tristan whined nervously at the mention of bloody mary “H-Hey Kace...haven’t you heard the rumors...Sara disappeared the other day when she did it...and Charlie says that when he looked in the mirror, he saw carnage..”
“Bullshit! Prissy Sissy is probably sick, or something and Mr.Beanpole is a big liar!” Kace spat.
“A-At least use their real names” Tristan murmured sheepishly, as his leg fidgeted.
Kace sighed, loosening his grip on the stupid Cheshire faced boy. He didn’t mean to yell so aggressively at Tristan, Tristan was the one person he tried to contain his anger around. (emphasis on the word try) Just, anger was his natural reaction to most things. It was because of his temper that he was able to get to know Tristan in the first place. Somehow, the wimpiest kid around had been the only person who was able to see past his scary temperament.
