During a holy ritual, the gods tell Bartholomew von Igneous IV that he needs to find their missing Chosen One to restore the balance of magic in the world. He immediately decides he doesn't want to do this and decides to foist the quest off on a group of adventurers. After all, the more people searching for the Chosen One, the more likely they'll be found, right?
Except absolutely no one he talks to wants to go on the quest. Finally, he resorts to binding people with a geas to find the Chosen One or die in horrific pain. The quest is underway, like it or not!
