Welcome to my teaser campaign for Challenger's Chase Book 1: Coin & Contract! It's an illustrated YA Fantasy series following the adventures of Carnelia Blazebright and her allies as they make their way through the chaotic, wild-west world of Aerth. I'll be dropping ten or so chapters here across the next few weeks, but more chapters are already available for free on my website, Challengerschase.com. If you're already interested in reading more, check it out!
The undiscovered depths of the mind, the untapped limits of the body;
The uncharted reaches of the seas, the unmapped lands of the earth;
The unidentified relics of history, the undeveloped technologies of the future.
In the half-tamed, barely-explored world of Aerth,
Where laws are but a suggestion and achievements are king,
One group stands upon the cutting edge of all frontiers.
Curious enough to lift the lid on Pandora’s box…
Cunning enough to swindle the Devil at their own game…
Crazy enough to fly towards the sun on Icarus’s wings…
They are called… Challengers!

CHALLENGER'S CHASE is an illustrated YA adventure-fantasy webserial that follows CARNELIA BLAZEBRIGHT, and her friends, ADDA, DORO, and YAENO, as they fight to become Challengers, this world's foremost class of trailblazers, eccentrics, and expert boat-rockers. It starts with them taking on the Challenger's Confirmation, a mysterious and nebulous once-a-year exam that bars their entry into the exalted Challenger Guild. Every person that takes on the Confirmation has their own reasons for embarking on this journey, some desperate, some hopeful, every one of them willing to put everything on the line. Thousands stand in the way of their dreams.
Hearts and muscles will be tested, rules and bones broken, and in the end, no one knows for certain if they will pass. Will Carnelia finally live the adventuring life she's been pining for, or will she discover she's bitten off more than she can chew? Find out by following CHALLENGER'S CHASE at Challengerschase.com for free biweekly updates, blog posts, and more!
