She
reached out and soared up toward the sky.
She could almost touch the blinding sun
but she didn't need to die. No, not yet.
She crossed the cerulean oceans and
streaked over the high snow capped mountains.
She reached the rainbow's end and
revelled in the world’s natural magic defying all reality.
She had lived a
thousand years and would live a thousand more.
This world was a place of exquisite beauty and she rejoiced in the joys of being a part of it and keeping it alive.
But the beautiful world around her was dying.
And what would she do for the next
thousand years if all that she cherished so dearly were to be no more.
She would rather die with it instead.
In
this form, the invisible astral, she could ascend high in the sky and anywhere
over the world and through it with the speed of thought.
Her body lay where she left it in safe haven, unseen and unapproachable by anyone save those she trusted her life with.
