The Cyantians are an anthropomorphic race of various creatures derived from human and animal DNA by alien scientists, created to be servants on another world. Their alien masters passed away and they inherited a pristine world of their own along with knowledge and technology to master it. Along the way, they have rediscovered their human roots (there are humans on Cyantia too, a rarity and they keep to themselves), and they desire to make contact with their home world of Earth and share their beneficial technology.
Unfortunately, as a race, they are naive and humans have thus far taken their contact as hostile, even right now, as they prepare a supposed staging area for invasion on Mars and Venus. In reality, it's an educational facility dubbed Mars Academy, but to all other eyes, it's pumping out war machines.
