I, compared to many, have lived a very short life, and experienced quite lackluster things in this short time. My parents tell me though, that soon my time will come, that I will do and accomplish amazing things. I was born with a destiny, an incredible purpose and heavy burden. I am the most powerful of us all to ever exist.

Excuse me, I am getting ahead of myself. I am born from one of the most powerful lines in my kind. We call ourselves chosen ones. We are half angel and half human. A long time ago HE sent down angels to guard the human race But unfortunately after a while they forgot their mission, and got too close to some of the humans, causing them to fall in love and thus creating our accidental species. After HE found out what was happening on earth, as more babies with wings were being born, both angels and the first of our kind were taken back to heaven. The babies were observed closely and as they aged It became quite clear that aside from having wings there were many other anomalies that became present. Babies born from higher up angels possessed all different kinds of powers imaginable. The offspring of lower angels, could still possess unique powers, but not as many, and comparably much weaker to the offspring of their superiors.

As the children aged - still kept in heaven, they grew stronger and their similarities and differences to each other and humans were much more apparent. All of them possessed faster healing capabilities compared to a human, heightened physical abilities, alongside heightened learning capabilities, and just appearing generally better looking than average humans. They could develope new powers at anytime, but normally would not start developing them until around the age of 7 years old. Adolescence appeared to be the span of time where it was most likely to develope powers. Their aging seemed to stop around 21 years, and the females of our kind could not reproduce until at least 21 years, sometimes it took longer, and the ability to have a child was difficult, as they had a yearly random cycle of Which a small portion of time would make it actually possible for them to have a child.

While the children were being observed in heaven, things on earth went unnoticed. Demons had caught wind of the half angel - half human hybrid babies that were born and decided to test an experiment of their own.  They sent some of their own kind to reproduce with humans, and soon half human and half demon babies were being born. They did not have a perfect human appearance like chosen ones (aside from the wings, which were able to be perfectly hidden in kangaroo pouch like areas and the ability to compress our wings down, a lot) The Half demon babies, also called fallen ones had unhuman appearances, those born of a high ranked demon had differences that could be shrugged off by a human, or easily hidden, but the lower ranked the parent demon was, the less human the offspring appeared. Their appearance also often tells of what powers they possess.

Heaven eventually noticed what was happening on earth with the demons and the purpose of us chosen ones was given. We were to protect humans. Though protect ourselves and our identities first. Neither fallen ones nor chosen ones could reproduce with humans as both of us were genetically incompatible to humans and thus we were sent with a loose hierarchy and assigned leader. Our first leader happened to be a direct descendant of my father, my great grandfather. The next in line to the leader are called the elemental guardians (elementals for short), they possess at least one elemental power and mastered at least one, where they can transform into the most powerful version of that power. The only downside to the elemental form is that they can only use the power specific to their form, in normal circumstances if they have the endurance they could double, or even triple up on the powers they are using at once. Of course that can take years and years for someone to master. Except like I said, I was born to be the most powerful, so though I am only 18 years old I have mastered 2 elemental forms (Fire and water) and can double up on powers, the rest of my family is also quite powerful. My father, who is around 200 years old, used to be our leader, but stepped down once my mother became pregnant with my older sister Pandora. My father has some but not all of the elemental powers, as does my mom, except she hasn’t mastered any of her elemental forms yet. My older sister Pandora is 20 years old, she has the power to heal others that to other chosen ones is quite advanced. She also is extremely beautiful. She could get run over by a car and look beautiful doing it. One power that she has is the ability to manipulate those who find her beautiful. That power is something that doesn’t leave our household though as it is considered shameful as that is what a succubus does. I have two younger sisters, My youngest sister Shaymin is 10 years old and her only power for now is what we call the copy cat power, she can mimic any chosen one’s power, there are some catches though, she has to be within a certain range of the person, and they have to be actively using it. My other younger sister Annabelle is 17 and  is quite the odd one, my parents shelter her from the chosen one hierarchy, and she is physically inhuman looking. She has purple eyes and the longer her hair grows the less it is black and the more purple and blue it becomes. So she is forced to wear blue contacts in public and keep her hair short to fit in. She is also extremely powerful. When my parents saw how powerful she was becoming they forced her to stop using her powers around the rest of us. One known power of hers is that she can become invisible for unspoken amounts of time. No chosen one with the power of invisibility has been able to stay invisible for over ten minutes without completely exhausting themselves, no matter how long they practice, but she has stayed invisible for hours and still had the stamina to use her powers elsewhere and then after practicing turn invisible again. Myself, my father, and Annabelle are all elementals. Pandora and my mother are a step lower on the hierarchy, they are elites. An elite is a chosen one who either lacks elemental powers but the powers they possess are abnormally strong, or they possess an elemental power, but have not mastered the form. after that is nobel, and that is any chosen one who possessess a power outside of our 'default powers'. Our lowest rank is citizen, they live with humans and act as humans to help conceal our identities, as docters, firefighters, police, etc.

I'm sorry, I know its a lot to take in at once. But anyways, I am Shadow Rider. I am 18 and I have all elemental powers, along with the ability to read emotions. My parents raised me to be the next ruler and save the world.
