Ocean breeze ruffled her short blue locks of hair that had a pale blue tint like sea holly flowers. As she closed her eyes feeling the cold spray from the the crashing waves, she inhaled the salty air tinged with seaweed brewed at the bottom of the ocean.
A ring of flat charcoal gray basalt rocks protected her in the circle as she sat cross-legged. Her fingers dug into the brilliant warm sand, tiny pieces of quartz sparkling under the afternoon sun. The smooth sand slipped past her fingers like an hourglass. Her palms opened wide, facing the clear sky as the sea poured blessings into her hands.
Her heart beat together with the pulse of the sea, resonating with every drop of ocean water. Bright gray eyes opened, glistening like the sun peaking through gray clouds after a storm.
Seagulls gilded overhead, spreading their wings as they soared in the sky joining the sea with their song.
The sea called her, and she answered the sea....
