Sokkōku. The biggest of the eight continents that exist on the world. It is home to a large variety of races, hostile and friendly: demons, angels, humans, elves, dwarfs, orcs, goblins, spirits, faeries and so on. In here, there are no rules or civilization. Criminals like murderers, rapists and thiefs from other continents run away to Sokkōku, cause they know nobody will try to arrest or follow them there. It is a very risky choice though, you might not get arrested, but you might get eaten by something.
In a certain village, somewhere in Sokokku, live the High Elves. They are the most ancient elves that exist in the world. Blond, tall, slim, elegant and cocky. They have a very tranquil life since they live very isolated from everything.
In this village, there is a girl named Ophelia. She is not much of a talker, she is monotonous and prefers to spend her time alone. Ophelia does not have any siblings, she just have her parents, that she doesn't talk to a lot either. Only in her teens, she is not a girl that grabs much attention from her looks. She uses her hair in a single and long back braid, while leaving her fringe on her forehead. Her face expression is not friendly at all, so the other young elves usually don't even get near her.
When the village leader thinks it's time to pass on leadership to someone else, he chooses someone he thinks should be able to fill his role. In some years, when the time comes, he appoints Ophelia as the new leader. She accepts it, despite being a little reluctant about it.
...
Weeks go by and Ophelia does not go though any major problem during her leadership, at least, until now. It comes a day where two elven guards sight something they were not used to. They see a human girl, alone in the forest. She looked scared and lost. They approach her.
Halt! Who are you?
One of the guard asks, pointing his bow to her.
Please don't hurt me! I'm lost; I don't remember how I got here!
The guards look at each other, confused. They decide to call Ophelia.
...
Ophelia arrives at the place and firstly asks the girl her name. She says she doesn't remember her name or anybody's. Ophelia then asks some more questions, that the girl answers honestly. She makes a decision. A very risky one.
Very well. Since you don't remember your name, I'll give you a new one. Priscilla.
The girl happily accepts her name as she gets welcomed in the elven village.
The other elves don't like her being there at first, but they soon get used to it.
Priscilla looks like a 13 year old. She has bright blue eyes, very short copper hair and very short height. Very fragile and timid, she couldn't even lift a sword. She followed Ophelia everywhere. It was a bit nerve wrecking, since the elven leader didn't like being in company of others.
It was on a casual day like any other, that things would start to go downhill. A hunter from the village was out at the forest not far from there. Everything was normal, until he saw something on the horizon that terrified him. He could see what it looked like an army of unknown creatures, running to the village's direction. He immediately panicks and runs to his horse. He rides as fast as he could, trying outrun the creatures and reach the village on time.
He manages to arrive in about half an hour. He gets off his horse and rests his hans on his knees, trembling and breathless. Soon, the people start to gather around him, asking what happened that left him in that state.
T-There's a whole army of something I couldn't identify coming this way!
As the elves hear the hunter's report, they start to panic. Some suggest they should run away, others suggest they should hide. Ophelia, hearing the commotion, approaches the crowd and asks what was going on. She gets a little frightened as she learns what's happening, but doesn't panic. She says they would fight to defend the village, and not run away.
Most of them hesitate, but they trust their leader, of course.
Everyone gets ready just in time. The archers get in position, while the swordsmen stood inside the village, awaiting orders.
Prepare to fire!
Ophelia yells as she waited until the creatures were close enough.
When they get really close, Ophelia gives the orders. But, as the archers see them up close, they go into shock. It were monsters. Pointed teeth, very tall, pointy ears, horns, glowing eyes. Some had tails, some had wings, some ran on all fours, some ran on their feet. Noticing that the elves were not firing, she insists on the order, and they end up doing it. Because they were too scared, most ot the archers miss their target. The ones that manage to hit the creatures, do not appear to do any damage at all. It was like the monster didn't even feel the arrow.
That's when the archers start to flee. Ophelia, seeing everybody was panicking, starts to panic also. Even though scared, she orders the swordsmen to charge in with her.
They run towards the invaders and don't even have time to strike, they get attacked first. The majority of the warriors died within one single blow from the monsters. They had no chance at all. Ophelia and a few warriors manage to hold them, but they quickly get past them and enter the village.
It was a massacre. Ophelia saw her friends and family be slaughtered brutally. She couldn't even focus on the battle anymore. Everybody around her was also being killed.
Before she could notice, there was only her left. Nothing mattered anymore, neither honor nor dignity. She could see some of the monsters eating the dead elves, it looked like they were enjoying theirselves. She sights Priscilla. She was looking directly at her. She had a discreet smile on her face; ''Run'', was what that smile was saying, and that's what she did. Ophelia dropped her sword and ran as fast as she could, looking back do Priscilla.
As she runs, distracted and in despair, she stumbles upon something.
She looks to her front, and sees an abdomen. Then she looks up, and sees the disgusting face of one of those creatures. Its drool was falling on her face as it stared at her, with lust.
The elven leader is paralyzed. She can't move because of both fear and exhaustion. She didn't have the will to fight anymore. The thing grabs her by her arm, cutting through her flesh with its pointed nails, and putting its hand on her back, pushes her to the dirty and bloody grass.
Ophelia is raped right there.
Because of the creature's size, she felt like her insides her being torn apart.
When the monster is done with her, it leaves Ophelia lied down in the middle of the bodies of her comrades and enemies.
...
A couple days go by. Ophelia was surprisingly still alive.
She had spent those two days in a state of semi conscience, until she finally manages to really wake up.
With difficulty, she sits down and looks around her. It was really quiet, not a single soul was present. Hundreds of bodies scattered everywhere. Her village, completely destroyed.
After seeing that terrible sight, Ophelia sworns she would have revenge on those mosnters, especially on the one who raped her, and Priscilla.
Little did Ophelia know that the invaders that slaughtered her village were called ''Genshi'', and belonged to a race of ancient demons, who were immortal.
...
The lonely elf manages to get up and get out of that now terrible place. She walks for a few minutes, until she arrives in the woods that were near her village. She knew them very well.
Now filled with hate, Ophelia decides to track the Genshi. She was a very good tracker, but anyone would sure be able to pick up the trail. She just followed their big footprints and trail of destruction.
