A rumor is spreading throughout the royal courts that the House of Montari is cursed, for every knight that receives the honor of Sun Guard dies within the year, without a visible cause. High Prince Ephraim Montari, the next in line for the crown, doesn’t believe in curses, but he does believe in conspiracies; someone is killing these knights, but who, why, or how remains a mystery. Determined to end this “curse” once and for all, Ephraim plans to start doing things his way, even if that means marrying the next Sun Guard known only as “Silent Knight” and enlisting the help of notorious rebel leader Eris, in order to find the one thing that could fix everything; the truth.
