Tara Somerhaden receives the shock of her life when she gains consciousness as the supporting character of a badly written novel. Her character is boring, and has limited work to do, which includes a few acts of kindness, playing Cupid to the main characters and ultimately ending up dead, which serves as a turning point for the plot.

Dissatisfied by the uselessness of herself, Tara wants to change her destiny and become actually useful to herself. But what can she do; when she is a mere 2-D cardboard Damsel in Distress in a story full of clichés?

this is my first time writing something like this. the idea has been in my mind for a long time and i just found out about tapas, which is like the perfect place for this story.
