prologue

How do we deal with the world as it is? What makes anything even relatively special? Well you could say it’s different or you’re different from other things. but why because if you think hard enough about it you would realize everything is more similar and connected then you may think. It’s as if there is something pulling it all back together but forget that for now because we are about to jump into a simpler tale that isn’t just a depressing thought. I hope you enjoy the show, relax, sit back and enjoy the journey of a Demi.

Chapter 1: It starts slow

“Wow you see that firework zack!” says a boy with a sense of excitement and joy. 

“Yeah I do but what’s so special about it anyway?” replies zack. 

“Nothing really I guess but they look cool so it’s just fun to watch” the boy explains to zack. The two of them keep talking on the top of the hill known as bandit bound and they watch the fireworks until dawn.

At some point the kids fell asleep up on the hill where bandits used to live waking up sometime in the afternoon. “Alright wake up Zack, we should probably go out and look for some breakfast. We should avoid getting up too late next time.” says the boy. 

“Well it’s your fault anyways because we spent so long watching fireworks and we ended up falling asleep by dawn.” Zack replies.

The boy stretches, “Ok fair enough.” now ready to hunt,

Both Zack and Cellen headout deeper into the forest to find some food for their “breakfast” and they end up coming across many monsters. They drag the corpses of the ones that they can eat and cook and pick up some firewood on the way back along with berries. They carefully cut apart the corpses, setting any fur aside to make clothing or sell when they visit town. But as they're cooking a strange presence nears the little camp on the hill where they live but it leaves shortly after. This may be a prelude of what’s to come but let’s look back to how Zack and Cellen meet before a chain of events begins.

A boy runs through the forest as fast as he can because he is being chased by bandits, they climb up a tree then jump into a bush to hide. He peeks out the bush and gets grabbed by the bandits he then kicks the bandit where it hurts then follows up with biting their arm making them bleed. The kid runs off again even faster while the bandits start firing arrows and screaming slurs then the kid swims across a river. After a few minutes of running the kid finds a small cave to hide in which the bandits can’t enter because the entrance size is too small for adults.

Once inside the cave the boy notices something, a small amount of furs piled up in a corner so the boy, unable to hold back slowly approaches the furs. As they get closer they see a horn poking out. So they just sat there and poke at it five minutes later the horns began to move and a child emerged from the furs. “HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHO ARE YOU WHY ARE POKING ME I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!” The child with horns says. 

The boy who came into the cave thinks and pauses before answering the question “well um hiding and bored.” They sheepishly reply. 

“Um ok hiding from who-oo-o-ooooooooooooooooo also WHY!” The boy with horns says.

 “Well bandits an-”.

 “WHAT BANDITS you must be rich or something” the horn boy says interrupting the run away. 

The runaway keeps trying to explain and the demon keeps interrupting him and just knocks them out. Then the demon puts the kid under his pile of fur sighing.
