Prologue

In the beginning, there was nothing.
Then Chaos.
Order.
Soul.
Form.
The four powers that govern our universe were given personification.
The first four were akin to beasts.
Animals that created just to kill, built just to burn.
They were the Raging Gods, so full of fury.
Until a new generation arose that slayed the raging gods, and sought to establish a regime.
The Vanquishing Gods.
Their rule was simple. The strongest live, the weakest die.
However, it would be their undoing, when the strongest mortals below them became the strongest gods above them.
So, the Vanquishing gods fell to the next generation, who sought to make the universe their plaything.
To test the limits of the universe was the goal of the Giving Gods.
Under their rule, societies arose with power given to them by the gods. It was glorious, but short lived.
A new generation of gods arose. A generation that decided to put the affairs of all others to rest.
The Governing Gods. Who shed their divine forms and became mortal, so as to have a direct hand in the workings of man.
Yet, despite the passing of divinity, the four forces of the universe have stayed the same. Changed little by its owner.
Order.
Chaos.
Soul.
Form.
Do not forget them, lest they forget you.
