At the time when humanity was the brightest, a war exploded. A war which killed more than any past war. A war which involved an entire galaxy and more. A war which had two men fighting for the right to live and die. One mad humble man who suffered and lived. One mader and badder who only wanted death as a friend. One was capable of gathering an entire army to support him, the other one only had his favorite species to fight. A specie who gave his life for his.
Earth, year 6782:
The streets were destroyed. The sky was grey, one couldn’t see if it was fog or smoke. Corpses lied on the ground. One could hear explosions, it wasn’t stopping. Cars were burning. The few people alive were screaming or fighting. No one had ever seen such a battlefield even during the greatest war the universe had known. Their fight was useless. The army confronting them was bigger and stronger. Only one person could save them and he was lying wounded on the ground. The man opened his green eyes, got up with difficulties, he tried to find his friend. He was wearing a yellow jacket matching his black skin. Half of the sleeve was ripped. He was walking with one shoe missing, quite all of his yellow trousers ripped. He took off a silverish electronic screwdriver from his pocket. He pushed a button; it wasn’t working. He threw it on the floor. He started screaming the name of his friend: Kim. The voice of his enemy haunted his head. “You are alone. It’s over. Give up.” Those words kept on repeating themselves on his head.
The man saw the body of his friend on the ground. He was holding her cold body in his arms. “No Kim. You can’t die. No, stay alive please. Don’t leave me.” The man said, “I promised to protect you. Kim. I love you.” He felt she was leaving him for the afterlife. He cried and was angry. He lost everything he had. The man was there, in the middle of the biggest battlefield he had known. He tried to avoid this war but it was in vain. He remembered the face of each person who died because of the war. So many friends, lovers, families had lost their life in the name of justice. In the name of a man, they barely knew, but trusted. The man thought about each individual he had seen die. I can’t let the world die. I can’t. He thought. He had only one solution left. A solution which might lead to much more danger and destruction, but it was worth a try.
The man tried to find his spaceship, a tiny blue box, which in fact was very big. There was too much smoke to be able to properly see. He tried to walk to find it, the longer he walked the more screams he was hearing. After 2 minutes he finally saw his TARDIS, he started running towards it. He entered in his spaceship as the same time shootings started again. He knew he didn't have much time behind him, he went to his treasure rooms. In this room the most precious treasures of the galaxies were kept as well as the most dangerous weapons. The man kept there the only vortex manipulator left of the whole universe. With his computer, he programmed the coordinates and the year to where he wanted to go. He went out of the TARDIS to get his one last shot against his terrible enemy.
Around the spaceship, his enemies were gathered. A man got closer. He had half of his face covered by an iron mask. He had a long black robe with a hood which gave him an even more mysterious side. He had only one strand of hair that could be seen. A strand blacker than a raven plumage.
“You won’t escape. I won.” His voice was heavy and severe. The mysterious man started laughing, “It’s over. Don’t try to fight back.” He started talking to his army, “I did it. 4 years ago when I started my quest no one believed I would have succeeded. Look at me now. I’m going to be the only one left.”
“You are predictable. Don’t forget I think like you even though you don’t think like me.” The man pressed his vortex manipulator but at the same moment his enemy shot him with a laser blast. The blast had time to touch him before he vanished to another time period.
“Where are you? Where did you go?” His enemy screamed, “I want all of the research team on his back. Find him. He needs to die.”
Earth, year 1998:
Two men and a woman were walking in a park. There was talking about their journey, particularly how they have defeated an alien who tried to kill an entire family to stole their souls. One of the men wasn’t very happy about his journey.
“I nearly died because of you, Doctor. He said angrily. His name was Mac and he was a Zygon, a morphing alien. He was currently looking like the basic American high school boy who could be find in teen movies. This was his favorite appearance. Mac traveled with his two friends for 2 years now. At the beginning, he was supposed to find a planet where to live after his home world was destroyed during a war. He never leaves and tries to find any excuses to stay with the Doctor and Daniella. He was in love with her but never dared to tell her. Actually, he was even in love with the Doctor. Daniella, as well as, the Doctor had an irresistible charm. For the Doctor his appeal was natural. He had romantic adventures with a few of his companions because of this. The Doctor is a very wise, smart and handsome man. He, also, used to be a woman, twice to be precise. Once when she had to protect the Timeless Child, the person at the origin of the Time Lords’ abilities. The second time, she believed being the Timeless Child. She was tricked by her archenemy, The Master. The Doctor was a Time Lord who traveled for years with his spaceship through time and space. He saw the wonders and the ends of worlds and worlds. He met Daniella in Brazil 3 years ago. He had to stop a man with a free Christmas present from killing the favela population. She has long curly brown hair and a very nerdy style. Daniella was very smart, she was travelling to study the characteristics of the Doctor. She kept a journal where she detailed every single detail about the Doctor or the TARDIS, his spaceship. They were always arguing, she is as stubborn as the Doctor. They didn’t get well but the Doctor owed her more than once his life
As they were walking, they heard a weird noise, then a blue vortex in which a man got off. It was the man from the battlefield. He was lying on the ground quite dead. Daniella went to assist him. He was more injured than before. His breath was heavy.
“Who are you?” She asked but he didn’t answer. The Doctor asked Daniella to step back. He took off his sonic screwdriver from his pocket and he started analyzing the man.
“Nothing. I got nothing.” He said.
“We need to help him. Mac, take him into the TARDIS please.” Daniella ordered as if the TARDIS belonged to her. They got the man into the TARDIS. Daniella did the first aid. The man slowly got his mind back. Mac started to question him but he still didn’t answer.
“Come on mate, answer.” Mac kept repeating it until the man gave his first answer or at least question.
“Where am I? Who are you?” The man asked.
“1998, Earth. The Titanic was just released here. You?” Mac replied.
“I don’t know my name. I can’t remember. I don’t know.”
Daniella and the Doctor thought they needed to give him some time. He must have been still under the shock of his accident and time travel.
“My name is Mac. This girl with curly hair is Daniella. The man with greyish hair who looks like a grandad is the Doctor.”
“Mac. I’m young, stop it.” The Doctor liked vanting about his age but not about his appearance.
“Ok. So you are Mac, you” he pointed to Daniella, “Daniella.” She nodded to say yes. “That’s it. Oh and you are the doctor. Doctor who?”
“What an interesting question.” The Doctor said while smiling.
