Chapter I
Children ran happily in the garden, distracted by a small light griffin, while adults chatter unconcernedly. On such a beautiful sunny day, not even the tremors seemed to be able to disrupt the moment. More and more intense tremors at a terrifying and precise frequency, like the footsteps of a gigantic creature.
The griffin dissolves into thin air as a man in white robes and black hair stands alert.
In a room three children, around three years old, were waiting patiently, until the same man in white robes bursts through the metal doors just seconds before being destroyed by a gigantic creature, he protects himself and the children from the rubble. As soon as he recovers, he takes the three of them to someone else, a person who was also present in the garden.
The figure, a woman in blue, was waiting with two horses ready to leave, the children were placed on the horse with the woman, the white mage mounts the second horse and they both set off towards the forest.
They are chased by the monster, a World Eater, its ninety meters tall facilitated their rapid locomotion causing tremors at every step. Reinforcing the putrid appearance, the long, thick fur, pitch black, covered the lifeless and black eyes, the mouth with two rows of fangs, sharp as blades, seemed to be able to swallow a whole planet, and from what would have been its hands protruded claws of onyx, used to destroy the trees in their path to be used as projectiles against their prey.
After a few minutes of pursuit, one of the trees thrown by the World Eater hits the horse where the white mage was. The mage tries to recover, but the monster approaches quickly, the mage attacks but is still hit by the creature.
