To fight back, humans created a new kind of warrior—half-human, half-Eater. These warriors were given living weapons on their right hands and a game system in their minds. Every time they kill an [Eaters] they gain something called a [Feed Count]. The more Feed Counts they collect, the stronger their weapon becomes. Eventually, they [Rank Up].

Johnquis became one of these warriors, known as an [Eater Blade]. But unlike others who formed swords, guns, or shields, Johnquis only got a [Chain]. Because of this, he was slow at collecting Feed Counts and became the weakest and lowest-ranked warrior.

But his chain was never made to kill.

It was made to capture, tame, and control zombies.
