Nyx is a sixteen-year-old high school prodigy with many problems. He is an orphan suffering from severe trauma from an incident five years ago. When free-spirited Xavier Reed meets Nyx one morning, he takes an interest in the cold teen. But when both are complete opposites, how is that possible?

Then, as if to make Nyx's life worse, a serial killer escapes from prison and children from his school start going missing. When his younger orphan sister, Rue, gets taken as well, Nyx has no choice but to face his past and save her before it's too late.

And with Xavier determined to befriend Nyx, the two find themselves pulled into a world of danger.
