Moirae is destroyed, the land divided in two. The core of the world, the eternal pumping heart-like Kardia, is now wrapped in a dark mist, unable to manifest its ancient and sparkling aura now reduced to a weak and gloomy blue halo. Seeking power, humanity has murdered its own God and thus from unity duality is born: evil and good, light and darkness, white and dark magic.

In the blood crimson sky, magic itself has drawn the very future of Moirae. The Ouroboros will soon descend, bringing chaos and devastation to the world, but at the same time a Phoenix will rise and fall upon the evil incarnated. So the prophecy tells and now, ten years after "The Great Devastation", the legend shall begin.

Soren, a young boy under the protection of Noah, one of the few white mages that still exist, has already began his magic training. He has only one dream, a simple one: become a worthy successor of his master and help the other mages in fighting the Daeva, humans that mutated in deadly demons due to the excessive use of dark magic. However, his dream is doomed to fail: an Ouroboros is carved in the back of his left hand, the same one that once appeared in the sky, and the very core of dark magic hides inside his heart, waiting for the right moment to awaken.

Destiny is waiting for him, for his very soul is to be cloaked in blood and darkness while he shall ascend as a new God in this world tainted by chaos and death.
