Ottiline Castiel laid paralyzed on the cold marble floor, her body bound by the effects of dark magic. She couldn't move, no matter how hard she tried. Her limbs were heavy, her vision blurred, but her mind was still sharp.
"What a weakling you are, Lady Ottiline. I'm afraid this game of hide and seek is now over." Leonidas Soleil, the half-brother of the Emperor and the outcast of the royal family, stood there with a sinister grin on his face.
Everyone was gone. Her beloved sisters, her mother, her father. Even the Emperor had fallen--betrayed and defeated by his own brother.
Outside, Celsus, Apollo, Ethan, Farrel, and Silas were surrounded by a swarm of demons that Leonidas had summoned in the palace. The situation was hopeless.
This must be where Ottiline meets her end. A tragic, sorrowful end.
Leonidas approached her slowly, like a predator savoring the moment. Without a word, he reached down and grabbed a handful of her hair, yanking her head back, making her wince in pain.
"I've taken quite a liking to you, you know. It's a shame I have to dispose of you, like I did that pathetic family of yours." he said, pouting mockingly.
All Ottiline felt was pure disgust.
"My family isn't pathetic. You are. This kingdom would crumble in a day under your reign. You have no understanding of what it takes to rule, and you don't even grasp the consequences of your actions," she snapped. "Once word spreads about the Emperor's murder and your use of dark magic, you'll be joining us in the afterlife."
"Are those your last words?' he asked, completely ignoring her warning.
"...You may have won in this life," Ottiline began, glaring at the man before her. "But I won't allow you to win in the second life. Mark my words, Leonidas Soleil!"
Leonidas burst into manic laughter. He let go of her hair and threw her to the ground harshly, as if she were nothing.
"Kill her."
The soldiers followed his command, bringing a brutal end to the life of Lady Ottiline.
Is this truly the end?
Back in the real world, Christa was lying in bed, scrolling through the final chapter of the story on her phone. She scoffed at the ending.
"What?! It can't end like this! I want to smack the hell out of Leonidas-"
She glanced at the time. It was exactly 6:30 p.m. She would usually leave around 5 in the morning since she lived quite far from school. She had stayed up for so long reading the story, only for it to have a shitty ending.
Realizing the time, she froze. "Hold on a sec... AAAH-"
In a panic, she rolled over and fell off the bed, landing face-first on the floor.
She pushed herself up on her elbows, hair a mess, and cursed, "Oh shoot! I'll be late for school!"
Five ordinary friends wake up in a world completely different from their own. To their surprise, they discover that they have been transported into the bodies of the Castiel sisters. The world they now inhabit is reminiscent of a popular manhwa that one of them had avidly read. The Castiel family are nobles deeply associated to the Royal family. Their father, Adonis Castiel, is the right hand man of the King, which makes their family the most favored amongst all the other families in the kingdom. It might seem all sunshine and rainbows, but unfortunately, it is not. The antagonist, Leonidas Soleil, also known as the King's neglected half-brother, is fueled by anger and wants the taste of revenge. Bound by the fate of their characters, they must confront the challenges of the story, including surviving their characters' deaths and saving their family from impending doom.
