Msitu and Harmony Ametsenya are two impoverished orphans trying to navigate a world ruled be greed, selfishness, and ego. In a world where most people don't give a second thought to the people below them, Msitu and Harmony are among the lowest.

Msitu is older and fiercely protective of Harmony, doing whatever she can to provide for her little sister and also keep her spirits up. Their first Christmas without their parents is coming up though and Msitu will have to find a way to make sure Harmony knows the magical powers of the holiday still love her as much as they did before.

In a world where money, status, and strength are held above love, nature, religion, equality, freedom, and all that other "unnecessary crap," these girls have to find something to sustain them and give them hope and self-respect through the storm.
