Aiden Bishop moved to England after the death of both parents at the age of 10, having to move in with his Aunt Becky. It's been five years since then and his life with his Aunt in England has been going good, except for one thing: next year he was a freshman. Aiden walks in to the small kitchen, walking over to the sink to wash all the soil out from under his nails. Hearing footsteps in kitchen doorway, Aiden glances back and gives his Aunt Becky a small smile.
"Hey Aunt Becky, I just got done with the tulips." He turns back to the sink.
"Thank you, Aiden." He hears her pull out a chair. "Um, Aiden, can I speak with you?"
Aiden turned and looked at her, slowly wiping his hands off.
"Yeah, what's up Aunt Becky?" He walks over to the table and pulls out a chair across from her.
"So you know how next month you'll be in high school," Aiden nodded his head, worried where this was going. "Well, I enrolled you in Prince Hall!"
She smiles at him greatly with excitement in her eyes, her hands stretch out like you would in jazz, Aiden stares back at her in horror though.
"How!? Aunt Becky we don't have that kind of money!"
She waved her hand at him, shooing away the negative words as if they offended her personally.
"Oh hush, you're fifteen, no need to worry about money, let Aunt Becky take care of it all." She stood up.
"But-" Aiden followed looking at her sadly.
"No buts Aiden, you will go and live life like a king. I promised my sister if anything happened, I would make sure you lived the best life."
The two stare back at each other, Aunt Becky having a sad yet sweet smile on her lips. The memory of his parents come back to him, a small smile on his lips as well.
"F-fine, but just because I agree, doesn't mean I approve." Aiden points a finger at her.
"Deal." She grabs his finger, giving an infectious smile.
He smiles back, rolling his eyes slightly. Aiden still worries about how his Aunt got such money, about what will happen when he has to live in a dorm room, and mostly: how to stay hidden for the next four years.
