This is the story of two women: a hero who isn't really a good hero... and a villain who isn't really a good villain.

For nine years, Ennanis Zoleil, 'the heartless angel', has led her fellow soldiers in defending their kingdom against the attacking Beasts. Rumoured to be an unemotional killing machine, her motivations are known to none. Only one of her goals is for certain: take down their deadly Princess, the Cockatrice.

Come that fateful day of battle, when the Cockatrice unexpectedly saves her life and dies in her arms, Ennanis ends up exiled by her Emperor, ordered to stay away from the kingdom until she saves the world. But some ghosts don't stay dead, and on the other side of the undercloud, a human woman named 'Jemi' awakens.

Friend or foe, is sometimes merely a footstep away from each other... and one wrong move is enough to decide your fate.
