Description
A team of scientists travel to space to search for extraterrestrial life on a distant comet. They expect to find something uninteresting, some amino acids, some single-celled organisms. But as soon as they get to the comet, a giant, Elder God-like space monster sends them flying off course, as it eats a neutron star and uses the energy to fly away. They're left wondering what it is, and trying to figure out how they will survive and get back home.
The story explores topics such as transhumanism, post-scarcity, and mental health in academia.
