Gods created humans as the reflection of themselves. Out of curiosity, they made them the weakest race in the world that they created. To give them a chance of survival in this world the gods gave intelligence and selfconsciousness to them.
The gods observed humans from above, watching how their creations lived their mortal lives. Seeing how they struggled the gods helped them with guidance. The humans used the knowledge bestowed on them to make their lives easier. Some gods got bored seeing how simple human life had become. They gave them challenges to face. Storms, floods, tornados, erupting vulcans, and other tragedies.
With many struggles and deaths, humans realized who was behind those disasters and they turned against them. Humans formed a rebellion against them and faced other godly creations to reach the creators and kill them before more deaths came from their boredom.
The rebellion was successful in the first years but some people began to worry about the gods' furry. Fearing about their own safety they turned against their own race and gave intel to the gods.
With that information, the gods prepared a trap against the rebellion. The battle was bloody and all humans were killed except for one man who resented the gods the most. The strongest warrior was punished by the gods. Sent to hell to be tortured for the rest of his life. One god decided to give him a blessing of immortality but it became a curse to him as his agony would never end.
His screams could be heard through the whole hell. The man spent years chained in a place prepared just for him. A lone island in the sea of flames where unbearable heat never left his side unless someone came personally to torture him.
Many gods came to visit him. He remembered each god that came to torture him. Their names and faces were the reason he was somewhat sane enough to think about his revenge.
What he didn’t expect was that the next visit would give him a chance to get his hands covered in the blood of gods.
