Hapseong Sarpionist Deurama

My dreams are clear

My dreams are clear

Aug 04, 2026

If I'm correct, this is the perfect place, I hope this drug addict was right, it’s time to try my new equipment. If I survive, I swear I become a new sarpionist of my country, a new nation's hero.

The streets paved with greasy asphalt, flanked by bare concrete walls and neon lights. It was a cheap neighborhood—so cheap there wasn't an LED billboard in sight.

I'm so excited; I can't believe I'm near recreating one other most iconic scene from the hero's films.

“Give all you got, wh#$$, we know you have worked so hard”.

“Stop right there, buffoon; don't mess with the lady.” Damn, I reckon I sounded so polite and nerdy.

“Don't mess with us, boy, and this bit%# is not a lady, she's a damn wh&$.”

OK, I think this is perfect to make my entrance.

Just as it came, he activated a light speaker with music but was unable to avoid any attack. But the dope fiends gazed at him confusedly, and they started to struggle with the woman.

“Stupid boy," said the lady after seeing his useless hit.

He tries again, perplexed, but he desactivates the speaker, and brings some light blue swords from his wrists. He was smiling and waiting for them to stop, but they ignored him and continued.

So, he cut the light pole, and before they could react, he sliced their backpacks.

They gazed at him with surprise, bigger mouths than gorillas, and eyes like goats, and one of them started to run.

“No please, I so… I'm soso…rry, take the wh#re, it's all yours.”

“That's not the way you should refer to a lady." He was smiling with confidence.

The woman is looking him, waiting his permision to stand by or to escape, but the brave boy in silent. So, her scared face change to a serious, and walks like a turtle, without any thanks.

The junkie does the same; now his face is happy, looking at the boy in the back.

Someone random took him whilst he was struggling; the junkie was coming for him. The rapid footsteps, playing with the puddles, and his shadow were getting closer to a big mace or hammer.

In seconds, two shots were in the same room. I closed my eyes because I couldn't believe this. I'm dead, and I didn't fulfil my dreams.

When I open my eyes, the hallway is exactly the same, just one extra thing, a corpse on the ground. When I look back, behind me, another one, and in a corner, oh no…

“Dilka? Wha…what are you doing here? It's dangerous.”

“I missed you, Jeongin. What the hell are you doing here?”

“I wa…was figh…”

“No, stop, damn Kozhanasyr! You were losing; if it weren't because of me, you…” —she breathes— “I don’t want to lose you.”

“Thanks, I thought they weren't messing with me, but it's ok; they wouldn’t have been able to kill me.”

“No, you should know how this world goes and what you should be able to do; don't play like a fool. And you risked your soul for that sexual service.”

“I don't care, Dilka; she's a person anyway. If I want to become a Sarpionist, I cannot judge every person I see in the city.”

"Ok, baby, let me propose something. You want to be that saviour? Fine! But at least let me help you support your back.”

“Sorry, but… I don’t want to become an assassin; that's not my goal. See ya."

“Jeongin, you must know even a Sarpionist kills if they need it.”

“By the way, how did you know I was going to be here?”  He said while he was leaving.

“Don't play the fool with me; remember I was —”

“Oh yees, you joined me when I was talking with that drug addict, but I didn't imagine you…”

“I know your dreams, dear friend.”

Jeongin was in the train; Dilka didn't want to follow him; he was surrounded by wholly strangers.

He was incomprehensible; he saw a couple of men with red eyes in their faces. Jeongin tried to find a question, but they sat down in front of him. He felt rare.

Before to react, he feels trapped due to the lack of movement, and observes just a presence over there, aside from red men. These men, smell like oxide and moisture. When Jeongin looked in the corridor, he saw women.

This woman wore a red line on her face, and she didn't have eyes or a mouth; she was like a mannequin, without soul or emotion. When she stood up, Jeongin couldn't do anything and felt disgust.

Finally, when the men unfurled swords of steel and purple light, he got the adrenaline and, stooping, he turned on a sword of light; his hand was shaking, and his breath was abandoning him just in time for fighting.

The red-eyed men tied him to attack him. Jeongin was scared, and he slipped on the ground, so before any attack, he activated a wall shield, able to disperse any attack.

He moves his body to the right and left, trying to stand up and remain in combat, but the men couldn't let him. The woman was looking at him without any emotion; that fear was more present in Jeongin than the attacks.

Until he got to stand up, he activated two swords. The men were laughing, and the woman was sitting calmly. Jeongin felt his heart running like a car, an anxiety he had already experienced before in the exams.

He wanted to cry and run away; it was impossible to complete this task alone or to kill someone.

Many thoughts came into his mind and blocked his body; it wasn't an external power or error in his outfit; it was the anxiety of not knowing what to choose. He forgot his dream, identity, and reason to live; he was so shocked that he ignored the advertisement for the train.

[경고! 경고! 비상 정지 작동! 손잡이나 기둥을 잡으십시오!]

[ALERT! ALERT! EMERGENCY STOP INITIATED! PLEASE HOLD ONTO SOMETHING!]

The warning, aside from a worried-face robot in purple lights.

In seconds, Jeongin fell down again on the floor and was dragged to the front; he could activate his shield in time, and he avoided hitting his head.

He was so confused; his body was trying to close his eyes, but his mind was impenetrable. Unfortunately, he couldn't hear the exterior; he just saw some shadows who took his body and moved away.

One week later.

Jeongin goes for some coffee, and while he is waiting at a random table, a young man like him stops beside him.

Random news was on the TV.

The man was touching the table repeatedly; he looked at Jeongin’s chest but never the eyes, just turning between the chest and the wall.

“Hey mate, are you ok?”

A song was playing in the cafeteria.

The man finally looked at Jeongin, but with a little bit of confidence.

“Hee, I think I should have asked you that, mmm, because of your bandages.” Expressed while he was gazing at it, without any shame.

“Oh this? No, you don't need to worry; I was in the hospital for 3 days, but they said everything was fine.”

Just in time, the news reports the accident of the train, where a Verighefall attacked and killed 20 people, and 30 were wounded.

Jeongin couldn't hold his emotions and expressed a large breath and started to move his legs.

A plastic disc was vibrating, beeping, and lighting up. After that, he picks up his coffee and sits down again.

The young man looked at the news, and with a finger in his cheek, he understood what was going on.

“You were in that train…”

“What? No, hahaha, you must be crazy, man. How can I be there? It's not like I'm trying to be a kind of hero or something? You know? " Jeongin was so nervous, and his tone was more sarcastic than a politician in a third world.

“Oh yes, yes, what a fool. So can I ask you what happened to you?”

“Sure, it was…”

A plastic disc was vibing; again, the younger took his coffee and returned.

“I was fed up… you know, I just want to do something bigger in my life! I don't know why, but this feeling of leaving my footprint in the world is so consistent. I got this idea when I was a kid, but it never disappeared.”

“Yes, I think I know that feeling.”

“Aha, and I tried everything to continue with my normal life, to be a normal person, but I couldn't. I don't feel like this is my world, where I really came from. I tried to distract myself in my studies or work, but I reckon I did it because of my family.”

“But that's not your dream; you’re not a normal person, and that’s a gift.”

The song was playing stronger in the cafeteria.

“Exactly! I don't care if I die, but at least I just want one opportunity, just one; I cannot give up before the answer. This is my time, and if it is not my time, I'm going to make it, forcing my destiny.”

“So, your parents punished you because of that dream?”

“No, just a couple of idiots; they hit me because I wanted to change the world and live my goal.” I cannot tell him my dream; he can mock me, or he…

“I don't understand. Why should dreaming be a punishment?”

“Yes, you are right,” he said with a faint smile.

The young man was starting to blink because of the lights.

‘You know what? You are right, not me. I think I'm going to chase my dream like you did. No one will stop me—I will make them pay! And fuck the schools!’

Even with the music, his catharsis was heard by many people who were looking at him.

"Oh, what? What are you talking about, mate? Hehe, there's no need to hurt someone; I'm sure you...'

‘No… it's fine, thanks, boy,' he mentioned while he was standing up.

‘Bye bye, dreamer, I would like to see your footprint soon.’

‘Cheers, by the way, what’s your name?’

‘Oh, Yi, I hope to see you again, ehm?’

‘Jeongin, and I think the same, Yi.’

‘Excellent, Jeongin. Oh, by the way,' he opened the door and returned to the same table, ‘next time, I recommend you be sheltered by friends; sometimes we need help to fulfil our dreams, even from strangers.’ He said it with a nice smile and left.

“Should I really make my own team?” Mmm, I know what to do.
