Monday morning, a day of memories… It was today that most first years were allowed entrance to the Elven Academia, a palace of wisdom and skill.
The region of Elves, a large and prosperous land enriched with greenery and great architecture, was ruled by the elves and housed one of the greatest knowledge-houses in the world—the Elven Academia. Due to this reason, the tensions, and wonders of enrolling into this place were just as high. This day marked the debut of a few highlights—
Fourteen years old, human and only able to recall the last 8 years of his life. Rineri was a boy adopted into the elven region at the age of 6, when he was found in a crater with vast amnesia. Since then, he has learned or rather been indulged into elven culture and language; becoming one of them in mind. He still had severe differences in behavior and appearance, but those were forgotten as he made many friends and acquaintances around his hometown. Aphelos, the lord of his town, had finally sent a letter to Rineri with the allowance of entering the academy—even though we say finally, Rineri was actually one of the youngest to ever be applied to this academy;his level of intelligence leagues above most others.
His practical skills lagged far behind, though, even a simple spell could create a miserable explosion of his little energy he could manage to conjure. With this he did gain a small reputation, or rather, the title of the “worst practitioner”; having him placed in the lowest class of the first year, class G. The classes were ranked by a letter system, where F and G were said to be the worst, even though various talented practitioners came from here, the chances were rather slim.
This Monday morning, he stood with impatience to enter the gates. Holding a bag of lunch his foster mommy made him, together with a bag containing his utensils and notebook. The letter of approval was nearly stitched into his free hand; gripping it to never leave his hand as if his life depended on it, this letter alone had more value to him than currency would ever have.
“So… I’m placed in the lowest of lowest… B-but… I can… I swear… I will come out on top!”
An empty promise, he did try to remember it for a short while, but as soon as the ram parting gates opened and a rushing group of students pushed in, taking him with them… A rush of adrenaline made his thoughts fade and panic settle in—the day he dreamed of had finally arrived and now the action started…
Class G — Rineri Morenisea - The unknown adopt…
As he walked further into the academy, another figure had made his entry through the same gates—Another 14 years old human, he was recognized as the prince of an old and collapsing kingdom: the Kaezikee prince, Kenny vi Kaezikee—or so one would think. His true identity was that of a boy named Shii Seles. He was being escorted into the academy by an accompanying supervisor.
“The scenery is truly beautiful”, Shii commented on the garden of the academy, waiting to hear a reply from his accompanying party.
The Elven Academy had a large entrance, living up to the elven stereotype of elegance and pride—the main building’s entrance was joined by a large path. The path also split into 4 different ways that lead to various facilities of the academy. The 4 paths joined together in a circle with a modest fountain centered within. The scent of flowers and bushes was relaxing, and the fountain’s sound was calming in itself alone. Various gardeners ensured the wellbeing of the plants and flowers, whereas guards ensured the security of the academy and its students.
“It is indeed beautiful, prince”, replied the party as they stepped into the main building’s entrance. Shii was fairly common in most skills and magic which, along with the political enrollment, doomed him to an admission into the absolute lowest class—Class G. He was slightly disappointed but had no notable remarks, accepting the result of his dark situation.
The real reason why he was ever admitted into the academy was essentially to exile him from the kingdom—the Kaezikee kingdom was collapsing and split into two factions. Shii, being of the losing faction, had been peacefully exiled and eliminated from the kingdom at last—having the same fate as his supposed family.
“Let’s see how this goes”, Shii said with a welcoming yet highly nervous smile
The last freshman to first year, coming from Emelle, was Violet Lunaque, as her mindset about school was mainly to get friends and finally figure out what line of work she’d want to do in the future. During the entrance tests, which only those who apply from another academy have to take, which measures the class you’ll be placed in, made her fall into the deep.
She had a low score, even in comparison with failed students, but her correct answers were all on the near impossible questions which test problem-solving abilities instead of knowledge and memorizing abilities. Making her one of the 4 students who had all problem-solving questions correctly filled in. Having the potential of strategy and creative thinking high enough allowed her to enroll into Class G.
